ME2, how long will it be?

This is just something I have been wondering, after seeing an Xbox OXM report (no I don't know what it means either) one of the dev's said that it was going to come on a couple disks. I started think "Wow, maybe it could be... I don't know, 50-60 hours?" that's probably a little too much. So I ask you my fellow Escapes, how long do you think ME2 will be?

Well, DAO was 50 hours on one disk.

Work it out.

75 hours for main quest, MAYBE, probably at least 200 hours if you do everything.

Bioware games I've played are short but filled to the brim with sidequests.

Which in my opinion is perfect because it allows me to set the game length.

I'm hoping for this, i don't want a long and boring main quest which i loose interest in. I want a nicely sized epic main quest, and then lots and lots of extras things to do.

Morrowind was like 100 hours on one disc...
But ME2 will probably be 5-6 hours and then you play multiplayer.
This is a joke people, I am a Bioware fan and hope to get ME2

If its anything over 10 hours main and about 30 hours side quests, plus other time inbeween i will be happy

thats sarcasm right. i think he's on about mass effect 2 not mirrors edge.

ITT: People overestimating BioWare BIG TIME. Lots of eye candy, I'll give it 40h tops. Of course I'b be delighted to find out I'm wrong.

DAO was so long becouse of dragging fights and dungeon crawls. I liked it a lot but that's what made it so long. If they would make it the same in the ME2... well it's less tactical than DAO so it could get boring faster but we'll see. This time I will already start at the highest diff avaible so I will find it challenging. Last time I forgot that it was for manually impared xbox users so I waltzed through the entire game...

To justify it's shortish development time it might be about ten to fifteen hours long depending on what they wanted.

They could pull a final fantasy and make the game really long with pinicle points and exiting parts strewn about the narative or they could pull a mw2 and make the game a completly impossible to put down adrenaline rush of about six hours or so.

Or they could pull an uncharted 2 but now I'm thinking to much.

hopefully its much longer than most games today. i beat MW2 in less than five hours. there are way too many short games out there.

I'm not really concerned with the length. Not as much as with the quality. But since I trust Bioware enough to assume the quality will be all right... I hope ME2 will last till ME3.

Um, they have been working on ME2 ever since ME1, They announced it at the start of 2009 I think.

It's on 2 discs, so it's longer than the first one, which was only one disc. I'm feeling lazy right now, so I'll leave it up to you to calculate how long that is.
