One of the stationed riflemen spot the soldiers on the reinforced side of the river and yells "It's the enemy, behind us!".
Hearing this James orders his cavalry to circle the enemy, rounding them up with their back towards the river.
Just as the soldiers have been forced into position, the cavalry retreats to the sides and the riflemen open fire.

"oh poopie" blue says, ordering his troops to dive for cover, blue gets grased on the shoulder."thank god noone was killed" and that seconed a group of his men gets slartered.
"nevermind"...

Seeing as his enemies moral has been damaged, James orders the riflemen to ready their bayonets.
At the same time the cavalry changes direction, and comes at the enemy from both sides in a pincer attack.

"he..." blue smirks
"we are ninjas" one of his troops says, then they leap and attemping to knock the troops off there horses

OOC:by the way, they mostly have the hand and foot claws(which count as swords), but some also have bows.there are only 350 with me, but there are 1000 in the current battle.

Totinian watches as the battle ensues before him. He couldn't hit the cavalry or riflemen without destroying his allies. He got an idea. Bold. Almost too bold. "Archers, stand for firing! Reserve forces get in travel stations, full speed ahead!" he yelled in his charismatic voice. His men may have no idea what he was doing, but he didn't have time to explain. He wouldn't attack the mob of ninjas, riflemen, and cavalry. He would go straight for Ookami. "Archers at the ready! FIRE!" and as he said this, hundreds of arrows flew from this ship into the sky, shining down upon Ookami.

Oh, that changes things. In that case lets have him go for Ookami.

Shaking off his shock at the suddenness of the battle, Sam sliced through a passing horsemen and leapt onto the hijacked horse. He pulled out his dagger and points to the Zi rifleman. Several of his soldiers ready their bows and begin to fire into the rifleman.

Ookami's Swordsmen rush toward the battle,He yells to them.

"Prove your loyalty! kill them all, take no prisoners!"
a Volley of arrows come from his archers.

Sam turns toward the approaching swordsmen and begins his charge through them, with his own soldiers following his charge. As he charges through the line of swordsmen, slicing through one and charging through the other, the chaos caused by this gives his own troops the advantage. Sam continues his charge heading straight toward Ookami, his dagger drawn.

blue, who recently killed a riflemen, started to use the body as a meat shield, charging towards Ookami, with the claws extended,occasionaly stabing a swordsman or rifleman.
as he did so, he ordered his arhers to attemt to hit ookami.

"Withdraw!" James orders the cavalry, "Riflemen, open fire towards the river!"
With that the second line of riflemen open fire towards the elven ship.
As he does this he orders the cavalry to regroup on his position, enter wedge formation, and rush the enemy archers.

My character uses Napoleonic tactics, so the rifle formations are 3 rows or deeper.

The rifle rounds bounce off the ship's hull with loud plinks. Totinian had been in a situation like this before, he knew what to do. "Spotter, give us the angle of fire towards the gunmen! Archers, stand at ready for angles!" he instructed. He didn't want to have his men picked off as they peeked over the side to shoot so he used a little bit of math and skill to find the right arc angle and fire over the side of the boat without exposing his men. The navigator yelled back the angle of fire. "Archers, angle forty-five! Draw and FIRE!" as he gave this order, another hail of arrows erupted from the deck and flew down towards the riflemen.

My character tries to have his men fire from the safety of his fortress/ship so he uses arcs to bombard people. One of his main weaknesses is that he usually fights from his ship so he can only be on water (my ship is well armored and I wanted to show you that I have weaknesses and that I am not god-moding) He will fight on land but he knows it is not to his advantage.

Not to mention, we can't all just rush Ookami, for at least 3 good reasons.
1. You might be a hero, but even heros can't charge through HUNDREDS of men with reckless abandon. Sooner or later, you will get speared doing something like that.
2. By running through their lines and going for their general, you are ABANDONING your men. Very few normal people can get away with a stunt like that so they won't be able to follow you. With no leadership, your men will quickly be destroyed, especially by a general with good tactics.
3. Last time I checked, you guys were in the middle of a fight with James. You can't just walk through his men because that is the beauty of his tactic that he used. Its called a PINCER attack for a reason. PINCER=Low chance of escape. It will take a bit to fight through his men, not to mention he is at a huge combat advantage with cavalry against foot soldiers, even if they are ninja. If it were me, I would go straight into the ranks of the musketeers and bring them into hand to hand. They may have bayonets but they can't match swordsmen. Cavalry won't be able to ride right through you without a chance of hitting their own men. Think tactically. Don't god-mode with your troops. No offense, I just thought this was getting a bit out of hand.

Ookami runs,His Horse moving at unbelievable speeds.
"Arrin,Orin! Cover my Escape! I would rather live and redeem myself than die in shame!"
Two Heavily Armed Spearsmen Run up and Take position behind Ookamis horse.
"Swords,Retreat.Bows,cover fire!"

Sam charges on horseback and sees the two spearsmen in front of his rapidly retreaing target. "Damn, he's gonna be tough to catch up to..." As he approached the two guards, he leapt off the horse. The horse continued at full speed and stampeded through Orin. Sam unsheathed his second dagger and held them offensively towards Arrin, only a few yards away. He runs toward him, preparing to lunge through.

Ookami gains speed,He yells,
"Thompson,Cook. Cover Arrin and Orrin"
Two more Soldiers run up,one with a outrageous French accent. The other with a germen/Irish look.

"im a'coming" blue says, leaping and stabing the french one in the face, and quickly twirling and kicking the other in the stomach
"go get him" he says as he signals for his troops to hold off the pasueing riflemen and cavalry

Sam stabs into Arrin and knocks away his spear. Saluting back to Blue, he gets back on his horse and speeds after Ookami. Catching up with him at this point was unlikely, but he had to give it a shot.

Ookami Turns around on his saddle,Sitting backwards and letting His horse Run in a straight line.
He Pulls out a longbow.
"Heathen!"
He fires off a round of arrows at sam.
