That's definitely an improvement. Still has some problems that some of the others do (like not including the primary weapon, especially on the Pyro), but it's noticeably more recognizable that it's suppose to be the Pyro than it was before.
I dunno, I think it fits. The Axetinquisher is just as much a trademark Pyro weapon as the flamethrower itself; some Pyros swear by their melee kills.

This is a pretty good article. The only feedback I have is that the author is clearly a mercenary, and should be fired and have his incinerators thrown into a pit.
And not a pun to be seen? Are you losing your touch, Rutskarn?

I don't get the impression that these are trying to fit the style or work as actual concepts that would work in the game, so they're pretty cool from an art standpoint. The only two designs I can really get behind, though, are the demoman and the heavy ones. The lack of variety in character age, body type/face distinctiveness is sort of a let-down for me since the realism is sort of fighting with the cheesecake factor visually, but oh well.

I don't think i dig the "edgy" look, let alone rule 63 version of TF2. Good thing he didn't draw a female Saxton Hale.
Just imagine an Austrailian Korra and you'll be fine.

The artstyle is really nice; consistent the whole way through, and an interesting break from the official cell-shaded cartoon version, although 'realistic' versions of cartoons are standard fare on the internet, I've never seen a TF2 female one done. The art itself is finished to a really high degree of quality and care from someone who is obviously a really talented artist, it's really really good.

However...

I agree with everyone else that the characters are just too similar to tell apart, which is kind of the whole point of the differing designs and characters that make Team Fortress 2 so unique among modern shooters.
The men are all different builds, different ages, with different quirks and styles. Their personal nationalities, hobbies, vices and quirks are all represented in their character models. Apart from the female heavy and the Demo[wo]man, these pictures completely miss that. most of them are using handguns for crying out loud, with no other weapon in sight. I'm still not sure what half are actually supposed to be, and apart from hair style they are all facially pretty much exactly the same.

As someone else said, as artwork it gets 8/10, but as fanart it manages about 2/10, it's just missing the point by making all the different classes so similar.

That's actually something I have a major problem with. Pyro's not the Demoknight, he's the freakin' Pyro. I don't want to ramble off topic, but to keep it blunt I don't like how the flamethrower takes a backseat to the Pyro's other weapons - particularly the Axetinguisher.

Hello Miss Engineer. What are you doing tonight? I was hoping you could assist me in building something?

By far my favorite of them all.
Erectin' a ....

Too easy, never mind.

OT: I like them well drawn. Art style does not mesh well however, so I too had to have a double take to see who was what. Also, why no Spy?

I like the Sniper and the Medic the most.

The scout I honestly would not have gotten at first glance, and the other ones I find their hair to be... odd?

The artistic style is good, but they don't all represent the characters as well as I think they could.

Most of these are pretty crap. They're all too "real", TF2 has an awesome extravagant art style and this shits all over it as most of them look normal.
I am sure the artist did not notice that they made them look realistic as opposed to cartoonish, and were glad that you pointed that out.

I never in my 21 years of life thought I'd come across a fanart discussion where people find issue with the art being too good. Escapist, bitches!
Because clearly we can all do better.

I wish I didn't need to point out that was sarcasm, but seeing as we are on this forum and all...

My favorites in order are the Demo, Engi, and Scout.
Love the art style, in game graphics be damned to hell and back... Twice.
painterly wins every time in my mind.

These are very, very well-made portraits.
But they don't really fit the aesthetic of Team fortress 2. The scout looks like she belongs in a post-apocalyptic world rather then team fortress. Really, you could say that of all of these these. War-torn aesthetic rather then silly-ish team fortress stuff.
Still, they are all wonderful.
