Hub, I thought the other Pixar film The Good Dinosaur is next despite the delays (ok I check on wiki and it's out the next year in Auturm).

Either way, I'm really hoping this film will be a smash hit despite the lackluster films in the past.

The eyes! THE EYES! To stare into them is to see madness itself!

(but seriously, I'm really sick of the manga style approach of ever increasing eye size to show innocence and be cute)

Except the manga style of big eyes is based on Disney's pre 1960's work.

Ok, it seems interesting.

At the very least, its a non-sequel, no-spin-off movie coming from Pixar, with the director of Up (probably one of the last really good Pixar movies), which used to mean something.

Yeah this definitely sounds like a spinoff of Herman's Head. Which is fine with me as I found that show pretty damn funny. Hopefully they will do it right, though I am cringing at the very likely situation where Sadness is going to look like some emo/goth kid, and talk in nothing but mopey cliches. It would be nice to not paint that group as the badguy. But since it seems like they're making this into a buddy movie between Joy and Sadness, hopefully they won't fall into that trap.

Goddamn, that looks positively CREEPY.
Not as creepy as many kids, but I suppose it's mildly disconcerting. She also looks confused and agitated, so I have to give them props there.

One thing's for sure: she'll be getting a nose job once she turns... whatever is the minimum age for nose jobs!

Well, I'm sold. I've asked for something new in theaters, and I certainly haven't seen this before.

Lewis Black as anger huh?
If this movie is nothing else, at least it will be funny.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, for now. I keep also imagining something like Scott Pilgrim vs the World, but with emotions rather than video game references.

Her hands kinda weird me out. Also, I haven't seen any concept art, so most of what I thought the character would look like has just been from the name and description on wiki. I was... slightly disappointed, this being way off what I predicted, but I'm still on board with the movie cause it sounds cool. I just hope this convinces Pixar to stop making sequels.

I lost faith in Pixar after Disney bought them out. Disney is basically EA, buying up more successful studios and then gutting them. I haven't quite lost faith in Pete Doctor though. The premise sounds a little silly, but then so did UP, and that became one of my favorites. We'll see...
That was back in '06. If Ratatouille, Wall-E and Up did nothing to restore your faith in Pixar then I'm not sure how anything ever could.

This sounds pretty cool. Admittedly, this is probably because I have fond memories of Herman's Head. I loved that show.

I can't wait to see what emotional trauma a blonde/blue eyed white girl with perfect completion and features, living in a nice suburban house, has!
Will Becky from homeroom wear the same pink colored shoes?! Oh! My heart!
Will Sean, the good looking loner with a heart of gold and a pet rabbit, ever notice our intrepid heroine?! OH! THE FEELS!
Will Riley eventually admit she was being too harsh on Becky, Jessie and Susie in gym class and they all go out for FroYo and Facebook each other?!
OH! OH! GIVE THIS MOVIE AN OSCAR!

Yes, but two of this films were made by... Pete Doctor. And almost everything outside of his work has been growing less professional. We've also had a cars sequel and at least two plain movies, something old Pixar never would have done. Up is one of my favorite films, but apparently it was an uphill battle to get made. Disney didn't like it because children wouldn't want to buy old man toys. That's why Pixar is basically the cars company now. To make matters worse, a number of Pixar films were canceled by Disney so that Pixar could focus on 3d rereleases and sequels (actual statement). It's a miracle that Doctor gets anything done at all, but I like him, so I'll probably go see this movie.

That little girl with Lewis Black in her head just heard things she wasn't meant to hear.

I dunno.... I'm a little wary. If it's gonna be primarily a comedy like it's been insinuated that Herman's Head was, then I think it should be fine. If not, then I might give it a pass; puberty and emotions are a tender subject for some people - though I have some faith left in Pixar so I'm not expecting it to be a BAD movie, just a movie I might not be interested in because I'd find it unrelate-able.

It's too soon to really tell though

You can't just say "Next great Disney/Pixar Heroine" before you've seen the film.

Granted, it's not a sequel, and it's by the people who brought us "Up," and Lewis Black is already the living avatar of anger.
It'll probably be good, but let's try to avoid jumping on the hype train before our chickens are hatched.

Also, she looks vaguely caveman-esque. Gonna be a hard sell to make her a Disney Princess?.
