So if anyone still recalls this Megaman X was originally released on 1993 for the Snes. Now for most people who lived through that time (or for anyone who downloaded an emulator "me") the game was awesome! Years later due to popular demand they remade Megaman X for the Psp called "Megaman Maverick Hunter X" I play both (Megaman X first then the next). Now lets get down to it, which one was better! (In my opinion!)
Now since a remake is a remake you think they play out the same, they do, mostly. Maps are the same, only 3D-ified for the psp, and background music is made more modern and honestly isn't that bad.
However lets get to the point that everyone really cares about! The Difference in the battles against the reploids Maverick bosses, do they differ, yes, a lot or a little, some a lot some a little. When I say this I mean some of the bosses From Megaman X were amazingly brutal (Launch Octopus) however in MMMHX some became easier (Launch Octopus) did all of them become easier however? No, some of them actually became a lot harder (if you're playin MMMHX on Hard). I'll give a small list of which ones got harder and which got easier to handle, this will still be based upon the power ups you'll receive to kill them easier. Again my opinion
Easy=Easy
Not really that hard= below average difficulty
Tough= Average and challenging
Hard= Self explanatory
EFING HARD= Pretty Damn difficult
HARD AS HELL= Baby kickingly hard
Megaman X
Launch Octopus = HARD AS HELL, Chill Penguin= easy, Flame Mammoth= Not really that hard, Boomerkuwanger= not really that hard, Sting Chameleon= Not really that hard, Spark Mandrill= Easy, Storm Eagle= Not really that hard, Armoured Armadillo= Easy, Spider robot thing= EFING HARD, Face robot thing= Tough, Vile= Easy, Sigma= irritating, Sigma robot wolf thing = Hard
MMMHX
Launch Octopus= Easy, Chill Penguin= Not really that hard, Flame Mammoth= Not really that hard, Boomerang Kuwanger= Tough, Sting Chameleon= Hard, Spark Mandrill= Easy, Storm Eagle= Tough, Armoured Armadillo= HARD AS HELL, Spider robot thing= Easy, Face robot thing= EFING HARD, Vile= Easy, Sigma= Easy, Sigma robot wolf thing= Tough
Again this is my personal difficulty ranking list
Honestly, a lot of the game in comparison when it would come down to levels, bosses and everything else, it felt evenly intense, they're both evenly tough as they are enjoyable. Megaman X had it's cutscenes that would stop you and take forever to get through, but at least it let you know what was going on. MMMHX on the other hand hammered more down with short skippable cutscenes that were pretty awful, but again at least they explained a little what was going on. Bonuses would require you to search areas very thoroughly to make sure you didn't miss a thing. Could I say which one is better, No from that general fact they're both even on that side of things, both evenly enjoyable and intense!
However as for one thing I couldn't personally stand about MMMHX, was Viles mode, very imbalanced, very irritating, and overall frustratingly pointless, and even though it's unlockable content to reveal more about Vile, It's not worth it, having an awful theme playing in the background with poorly balanced weaponry fighting all the bosses in irritating amounts of flaws that will seem utterly worsened by how badly they designed Vile. Which made me regret every moment I tried finishing his story.
If you count Viles story against Megaman X, Megaman X is much better, if you don't count Viles story, They're both evenly good. So I'm going to ignore that there was a story for Vile "LALALALALALALALA" Tell me what you think, post your list if you had any personal arguments against the reploids or the game itself!
