Shame she's helped euthanize a wonderful (and lucrative, i won't hide it Former's is all about the toys, just with a good narrative behind it) franchise.
My Childhood memories of robots shooting purple and orange lazors is gone forever D:

Can't wait to see how Moviebob reacts to this
He'll cry tears of joy. He hates Megan Fox with a passion. I can't blame him.

OT: Good, at least her "quitting" is a step in the right direction. Although from what I read after the first Transformer movie, Bay didn't like her very much. Maybe she was a ***** or something? I find it hard to believe that only Fox would find Bay difficult and no one else would complain about his "harshness" on set.

I hope that's for the "lulz"... she's kind of already messed her career up by making movies like "Jennifer's Body". She's an awful actress, if you need proof past Transformers, watch Jennifer's Body. *shudder*

Excellent picture choice. Definitely one of the most memorable moments in the movie that dealt with her character.

The think that was a ridiculously bad career move. I don't imagine her career going very far after the crowds die down so she should ride it as long as she can. That began with the most innocent of intentions.

Plus she's passing up bucket tons of money.

Well, they're going to be better now. But still mostly crap, until they get rid of the human drama. And BAY-SPLOSIONS!

And did anyone here actually remember her character's name from the movies?
Probably Kristen or Kirsten or something...
Wait it says it in the OP. I don't remember her being called Mikaela.

And the franchise dies in a single swipe.
Who cares who's in the third film? After Revenge of the Failen who in the right mind holds any hope for further Transformers films.

Hopefully they'll just write her character out of the movies. Not that they were that great in the first place, but I hate when you replace old actors with new ones and pretend like nothing changed (the latest Batman movies, Harry Potter, etcetera).

Maybe now she can find a decent film that shows she can act without having to shoving her ass or boobs at the screen every 10 minutes.
I doubt it.
About at the "1:01" mark

Not sure, but I think according to IMDB, I think she played the role of "Bimbo #3"

I still think that looks at least decent, even though Fox will probably drag it down.

I can put up with the constant explosions because they go hand in hand with giant robots. It could not stand all the stupid drama it got in the way of the actually reason i went to see the transformers movies, the giant robot fights

To all you people rejoicing at this news - What exactly are you so happy about? She wasn't the problem. She wasn't what made the Transformers movies crap. She's simply eyecandy with mediocre acting skills. If you want a problem, try these:

1. A retarded idiot directing the whole thing.
2. Two talentless rejects writing the whole thing.
3. Overly focused on human characters (seriously, I don't care about Shia LeBouf's college roommates)
4. Both movies massively succesful despite all the above, meaning the next one will follow in their footsteps.

Megan Fox is the least of the franchise's problems, and at least she was pleasant to look at...
THANK YOU! I agree with Jandau. He knows of what he speaks.

I actually think that this decision is most beneficial to Megan Fox, regardless of whether she jumped ship or was pushed off. As long as she continues to appear in a franchise that just about everyone with a critical eye regards as terrible, she will have no credibility in Hollywood. If she wants to get a lasting career doing anything more interesting than cosmetics adverts, she needs to step out from this franchise and prove that she's more than what people like MovieBob and some of the less charitable posters here are saying that she is.

Well at least this is an improvement. A very small improvement that won't change my opinion of the films, but still an improvement.

I imagine that the writers will not even acknowledge about what happened to her character besides writing that her character died or something. If the film has the title Transformers in big lettering than perhaps it should be about the transformers and not the humans.

Yeah, looks alright except for her. I've only ever seen the first transformers movie, and don't recall watching any other movies with her in them. Transformers wasn't very memorable so I couldn't recall her having any poor acting there, but that trailer alone shows me why everyone hates her acting.

The accent alone is cringe-worthy; it's like a preppy 'valley girl' trying to sound "western" while also going through puberty. It's all there at once: Annoying voice, poorly acted voice, and a straining hoarse voice from the trying so hard to act the voice.

Replace!? Not like she plays Optimus, you don't HAVE to have her at all. If it can be avoided, don't replace actors for the same character, just remove em.
