The ratio of decent people to people i wonder if they accidentally get there dick caught in the toaster when trying to tie there shows is more in favor of decent people here then anywhere else I have been to.

In that case I completely agree. I have had a similar experience with these forums!

What game was it, though? Not many people haven't been banned from a Counter-Strike server for such things, I mean.

I must admit I havn't been unreasonably hated by any mods. I once had a thread locked on another forum because a mod mis-understood what I was saying but got an apology from them afterwards. I've done a couple of things on the Escapist that, should the mods wish to simply ban people for breaking technicalities in the rules, could probably have gotten me a Probation or Suspension, but thankfully the people with the power here can look at the meaning of the law and not the letter.

on TF2 i got banned from a server because i headshotted an admin and he typed, and i quote, "WTF YOU HACKER". he was standing still in the middle of the Blu spawn exits on Dustbowl.

on forums i've not been banned, then again i've not been on any sites where the mods/admins are idiots, i always end up on nice forums...like this one ^__^

I'm a moderator of a large gaming forum. We don't discriminate.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that moderators may hate people just like everyone else.

That being said, I find that most(if not all) here are professional enough to not ban people for no reason, and have full faith that when a user appears to be suspended for a more-or-less harmless post, it's because they have a history of bad behaviour.

Yes, I have been "Descriminated" against by a moderator. The specifics are that it was a football(Soccer for you Americans) forum with me quite blatantly "owning" said moderator in a discussion of the Premier League teams Liverpool and Man. Utd. I can't remember the exact details, but know that I was then perma-banned from said forum. I never looked back... That place sucked.

Some mods on the internet are a little power-mad. Fortunately, the ones here are paid (mostly) to do their job or are chosen be people who are paid to make a good choice.

As aforementioned, I can't remember the exact details; but it was in 2004 or 2005 if I recall correctly, at the start of the campaign.
