Men and Flowers

They're pretty and they smell nice. So long as you're not allergic and it might give you some cheer, I don't see why not.

To all those people who say that it isn't a suitable gift: Why care what anybody else thinks if it works for you?

I'm not much of a flowers guy because it's hard to find colours I like (blues/purples - most local flora tend to be sunnier colours) and I don't have a great sense of smell, but I'm not going to pretend I don't enjoy something just because there's a stigma of it not being cool.

If it works for someone and you know it, that's fine. If I received flowers as a gift though, I'd try to enjoy it, but honestly I would just be confused as to what to do with them.

I could care less but I doubt those flowers would last a day with me. So I would say I wouldn't due to the risk she would yell at me for not taking care of them...

Or get one of those nice steel roses. They are beautiful, and they smell nice for a whole year. Just add 2 drops of rose oil in the center.

I would suggest putting them in water and placing them on your windowsill so they get plenty of sun.

Keep them healthy and they're a treat for your eyes and a natural air freshener.

Well, two sides of a coin, recieving flowers from someone you're already dating is kinda meh (as a boy), buuut, if you were to recieve them from a lady friend you didnt know very well, you'd feel flattered and very nicely towards her

I just like gifts, pretty much regardless of what they are. Give me a piece of paper on which you've written the word 'gift', and I'll probably be happy with it. Flowers have the added advantage of looking nice.

But anyway, is this is an entirely hypothetical situation where I HAD a girlfriend, I'd be slightly confused, but happy nonetheless.
I'd probably give them to my mum to keep, making everyone happy.
