Metal Gear Franchise Coming to 360

I'm not sure if this has been brought up anywhere else and I don't really want to start a new thread as I'm a noobie here, but thought this may be on interest to people? METAL GEAR ARCADE? Another money making scheme by Mr.Kojima?

Im a huge MGS fan ( i bought a ps3 for MGS4) and im mainly a 360 dude so this is like christmas for me haha

Proof that Xbox players can't handle stealth games. Now it's "Lightning bolt action" and before you claim that you have splinter cell, maybe you should look again at it's "subtle stealth action" and see that it's pretty much everything but that.

Fantastic, 2 reasons to puke over the very franchaise that should have finished on MGS4,
-They are continuing the series, AND ON THE 360!!!(i apoligise to 360 fans in advance)
-You get to play as the very same female looking male character who single-handedly ruined the franchaise's reputation.

to answer your question, yes, but isn't all games basically made to make money in the first place?

Oh yes, I completely understand that aspect of the gaming industry. However it does seem that Kojima is squeezing the franchise dry!

Oh yes, I completely understand that aspect of the gaming industry. However it does seem that Kojima is squeezing the franchise dry!

im not saying you didn't understand, and i do agree with you that the MGS series has been milked for all its worth.

Not really, it's not like this is a new game it's just Metal Gear Online for the Arcades. Japan has a HUGE arcade industry.

Yer, I hadn't even thought about that! PLUS, I suppose its got the added 3D element that wouldnt be available at home either. How would the 3D element work? Would it just be like 3D in the cinema?

First off, I am a die hard Metal Gear fan. I love my ps3 and I think metal gear solid 4 is the greatest game ever made. Having said that, seeing Metal Gear come out on the xbox isn't a big deal to me. I love my xbox360 too, but I'm probobly gonna play it on my playstation 3 anyway. I don't care about the fanboy wars at all and I know metal gear has been on xbox in the past. What really bothers me is that Kojima is making another one. When MGS3 came out, he said that was gonna be the last one. When MGS4 came out, he said that was gonna be the last one too, but here he is again, making another metal gear game. The other thing that bothers me is that MGS4's ending really diddn't leave anything unanswered or left any room for a sequel. I think he should just leave well enough alone and focus on something else. Like Castlevania.

Kojima said that this would be the last Metal Gear game with Solid Snake in it I believe. This one has Raiden in it so who knows what would happen with the "Lightning Bolt Action"?

To be fair, the guy has been receiving a lot of death threats from angry fanboys over him saying he wouldn't make another one. He's basically been bullied into this.

It could be interesting and could start to breach to a wider market than the hardcore MGS fans. I would like to see what becomes of of this. Although it could be argued thats what the likes of MGS2 Substance on PS2 and MGS Twin Snakes attempted, didn't quite manage that but still maintained successful. All I can say is give X-box a chance with the franchise

Well i am excited because i cant afford that PS3 im lusting after... and i got a 360 for christmas from my family who hasnt heard 90% of what comes out of my mouth... what i stare at... and my all around life statement. But i dont like it because it just gives all of these microsoft fanboys more to say LOLOL 360 PWNS FACE PS3 FOH TAH LAHSSS!!1!!!SHIFT!1111one roflcopter. any way it wont REALLY be a Metal Gear game... its not Tactical Espionage Action its Lightning Bolt Action so it probably going to be a fighting game more then anything else.

I'm very anti fanboy but i only own a 360 and a PC but thats because its a wider array of games that appeal to me at the time of posting i have not read any other posts but MGS on 360 is very surreal for me. but since its MGS and how good ive heard from all the other games in the series im excited and that i will finally get to try the series
