Metal Gear Franchise Coming to 360

MGS has been been on the Xbox for a while now. Only MGS4 was exclusive. No big deal.

And this is a spinoff starring the worst character in the entire series.

No I'm pretty sure Vamp is not the star of this game.

Seriously I never hated Raiden, he was hardly the worst part of MGS2.

Raiden was one of the best parts of MGS2. Hype hype hype and then Snake is nowhere to be seen - major wtf moment. But his character was pitiful (intentionally imo). I'm pretty sure you're supposed to feel sorry for him, slipping on bird shit & getting pissed on and whatnot.

Vamp's sexual orientation has nothing to do with my dislike of him. I dislike him because he makes no sense, even in the context of a universe that has psychic powers and spirit mediums. He makes no sense because he has god-modded nanomachines that are absolute bullshit as an explination. Kojima went uber-lazy on the story for MGS4, and Vamp is a textbook example. Hell having him drown in zero-buoyancy water in MGS2 only to somehow survive that was pretty much the dumbest thing I have ever beared witness to in a Metal Gear game (at least the MGS games)

Regarding Raiden it's not that I found him pitiful and yeah I was a bit annoyed he supplanted Snake, but he's not a craptastic character in any way except in some really odd moments of stupidity ("The Nerd?" "We've Managed to Avoid Drowning", etc.). If anything Kojima tried too hard in MGS3 (my favorite game of the series) to make up for Raiden by creating Colonel "I'm a flaming homosexual" Raikov

The boss fights were shit. You can't really deny that, the only slightly interesting one was Vamp, and even that turned into little more than a relatively classic "wait for me to expose my weak point" boss fight (beyond maybe the shadow stitching, but even that gets lame when you figure out what he was doing). In contrast, you have The End, Laughing Octopus, and Psycho Mantis. The stealth gameplay itself lacked the intricacy of 3 and 4. As for the awkwardness, lets put it this way - "EMPTY LIKE YOUR SOUL!".

Still better than 4.

Oh my I can't wait for the bitching from Indigo Dingo. Also I think it's pretty cool for franchises to branch out to other consoles. I believe that if there were no more console exclusives console fanboys would slowly disappear. Now that's just a massive hope but I think it has merit.

If that happens, than hopefully consoles will disappear or merge into one super-console, destroying fanboyism altogether. And Duke Nukem Forever will come out.

but look at it this way. if a series as big as metal gear can go too xbox, then it can work vice versa.

Gears is owned by Microsoft - MGS is owned by Sony, the only MGS game to be exclusive to Sony was MGS4.
