Shouldn't be a big problem in a free roaming environment though.hazabaza1 said:Wow, that's looking pretty.
Still probably too many cutscenes for me though,
Even so, I find myself trying to do a lot of the story stuff in free roaming games. It's good with games like Saint's Row or Assassin's Creed because the cutscenes are a few minutes at most, but with MGS... eh.Adam Jensen said:Shouldn't be a big problem in a free roaming environment though.hazabaza1 said:Wow, that's looking pretty.

Kojima's been listening. The cutscenes in peacewalker were only a few minutes at most. All the codec scenes were optionalhazabaza1 said:I might get it when it goes down in price, but I don't want to pay full price to listen to Hideo Kojima's insane babbling before I can do interesting stuff.
I'm just gonna think its badly translated japanese. Ground zero is proably what it will end up being called.omega 616 said:Not sure if MGS or splinter cell ...
Wait, it's called ground zeroes? As in "oh knoes!" ... why not just "ground zero"?

OT: I always wondered what MGS would be like with more open levels. There were glimpses in mgs3, now we will get to see.
It would be cool if they kept the army building stuff from peacewalker.
Yea looks like shaving took years off him.Azure-Supernova said:It it just that model of Big Boss, or has he lost about 10 years since Peace Walker? Either that or letting go of The Boss really agrees with him...
You know, I don't get why people are treating this like it's another series because, technically, it should have been put to rest after 4. Let Kojima Productions evolve the series, I'd say, as so long stealth and a giant killing machine is in it, maybe they can let move Metal Gear into different directions.Lunncal said:I don't mean to bring the tone down, but I honestly don't see what free roam would add to the Metal Gear Solid games. They've always been about really tight and engaging stealth gameplay (and insane scripted boss sequences I guess), and I can't help but feel they might lose some of that by trying to open up the game world.
Don't get me wrong, I'll be buying it if it's remotely possible for me to do so, I'm just not sure whether the open world will be more of an improvement than a hindrance with this style of game.

Either that or there are multiple locations that will transpire later in the future...or code for locations that Zero is most influential at.I'm just gonna think its badly translated japanese. Ground zero is proably what it will end up being called.
