It's not a PC exclusive. Kojima confirmed last year that Fox Engine is designed as a multiplatform engine. Take a loot at this:w9496 said:I'm confused as to which platform Konami wants us to own. They make all of their games for the playstation, then port 3 of them to the Xbox, and now they're making a PC exclusive?
What's next? A Metal Gear game on the Wii?
Oh. Is it just coming out on the PC first, with everything else following later?Adam Jensen said:It's not a PC exclusive. Im not sure where you are getting your ideas from :L Just because they showed an early demo on a pc doesnt mean it is an exclusive, or has first dibs in some way. The game hasn't even been officially announced yet so it was probably just the easiest way of doing it.w9496 said:Oh. Is it just coming out on the PC first, with everything else following later?
Maybe you get to free roam around the area, and you get to travel to and from tight stealth locations?Lunncal said:I don't mean to bring the tone down, but I honestly don't see what free roam would add to the Metal Gear Solid games. They've always been about really tight and engaging stealth gameplay (and insane scripted boss sequences I guess), and I can't help but feel they might lose some of that by trying to open up the game world.
Don't get me wrong, I'll be buying it if it's remotely possible for me to do so, I'm just not sure whether the open world will be more of an improvement than a hindrance with this style of game.
Blame Kojima for writing himself into a corner and then skate on thin ice since then.MelasZepheos said:Didn't even take 30 posts for people to start getting negative.
Remember the days when we used to be excited by videogame releases? Without our first thoughts being about what was wrong with it?
I'm not a fan of MGS, but this does look like a fine game developing here.

I wonder if we get to import MB from Peace Walker.BBboy20 said:Mother Base is back and you can expand it even more with your smart phone [http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/27/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-has-base-building]
Definitely Big Boss then. It's weird how different he looks from Solid Snake in this and MGS4, considering they're meant to be clones...BBboy20 said:Since many people claimed the Snake in FOX was in gray hair, I asked Matsui-kun to take off the goggle. He was super old, but so was Big Boss in MGS4. He's about 20 in MGS3, which is set in the 1960s, so he must be 60 or older by the time of MGS4.Sean Hollyman said:Well Solid in MGS4 was like super old so of course he's going to look differentJimmy T. I think they rebuilt his body with spare parts from Solidus, plus they had him in suspended animation, so that's probably why.Jimmy T. Malice said:He was super old, but so was Big Boss in MGS4.
