The eyepatch makes that dog infinitely better than the one from CoD:Ghosts. Like Kojima's telling them "Hey, guys! Here's how it's done!" That, and possibly sticking with you throughout the game, instead of being useful for only a few missions.

Does the dog actually have an eye-patch, or did they just add it for dramatic effect? I'd usually go for the girl, but the eye-patch makes the dog really badass.

So there is this fan theory going on about who Quiet is and why she is dressed like that.

This has Ground Zeroes spoilers so be warned.

People are saying that Quiet is Chico who got a sex change, because he felt ashamed of being forced to rape Paz. Some of the concept art for Chico has him with a sniper, but that never made it into Peacewalker and his description says he always wanted to be a hunter.

Sounds crazy but it sounds like something Kojima would do.

A world where people try to out-Kojima Kojima is a bit of a scary place.

To be fair, you could replace "dog" with virtually anything and that sentence would still be true.

The R&D wing of the original Mother Base managed to invent the Soliton Radar, new Walkmans and Doritos years before they should have come out; I highly doubt they'd have trouble developing a dog eye-patch.

Either that or Big Boss has a dog eyepatch just for that occasion and nothing else.
