Two words:
Jiggle physics
Two words
Cannon arm.

Is that sexy still?
You may think of it as an un-sexy canon arm, but i think of it just as another hole to use when the more ordinary sex becomes routine :p

And since i've only played prime 3 i'm looking forward to the prime troligy wii release as well, so i know i'll me getting some good metroid, even if they screw OM up
Two words for then:
Accidental discharge
That's gotta burn.

Well when i fuck something it's usually with the intend of discharging.

Sorry it was too obvious to not say it :p

Metroid has already been done in 3D. I'll admit that I was less than impressed with the results, but they can't possibly screw it up any more.

My mind is yet to figure out how they'll use game play. Is it third person? Is it first person? Is it a combination of both? What?
From what I saw there was both types of fighting. Anyone who could help explain the combat please help.

umm Metroid + Team Ninja.... thats just awesome, it turns it from a slow paced boring sidescroller (it was good but it wasn't exciting) (and yes the 3D versions felt like train track shooters instead of actual fps) into an intense experience, you get to actually feel like a bounty hunter, with all the intense action, furthermore its team ninja... last time i played/heard Ninja Gaiden 2 was still a great game.

Everybody should be reacting like this...

This might actually get me to buy a Wii.

...First of all, they were never supposed to be FPS's. Second of all, how can you consider them railshooters? o_0;

Played demo of first, in 5 minutes it made me feel claustrophobic with its ridged movement, limited view and when it started to auto target, i just walked away.

Have a little faith, last time Nintendo outsourced metroid it led to three of the greatest games ever including the greatest game in history. Sometimes your faith will be rewarded.

I love Metroid Prime 3, and am eagerly awaiting the remakes of 1 and 2 for the Wii.

I think Other M looks amazing.

looks nice, but it loses points for continuing the story from fusion. nobody gives a crap about adam malkovich.
LIES. Fusion was great, and the story shouldn't be restricted to the time between the first one and the second (as the Prime games were). Why can't they tell the story they refer to in Fusion?
Chyea, definitely loved that game.

If this is the reason you buy a Wii it's a waste of money.
What really does the Wii have going for it,if you get down to brass tacks?
1)Metroid: other M (Iffy at best imho)
2)Virtual console (Classics you can't normally get any other way)
3)Wii fit (Good if you don't get any other form of exercise)
4)Rock band (dunno about this one)
Truth be told, Without the Wii fit franchise, i have a feeling the Wii would be like a game cube or worse. (Think "N-gadge" or worse.)
So ask yourself, Is 1-4 all that great to invest 300+ Dollars into?

....

(More if your like me, and have a hankering for the ol' classics)

Two factors you are overlooking, OP.
1.) Team Ninja.
2.) Metroid Prime is 3D.
