They messed with the colors and streamlined it a bit.
Its hard to distinguish it from the Power Suit.
And, i though the Zero Suit was interesting.
It fits(as in Style and atmosphere) Samus well in my opinion.
It's kinda ugly, the power suit is yellow and the varia suit is supposed to be orange : (. That aside, are you sure that's not supposed to be the power suit?
I don't think it fits because the game goes from semi-realistic in terms of stile to OH MY THERE'S AN ANIME BABE HERE because she just looks so fucking cartoony in that suit and her face looks like an anime character, which is ridiculous when compared to the other human characters in prime 3. I wish they kept the model more similar to the one at the end of the first prime.
I did like that Model at the end of Prime 3.
But i do like the Anime Style Samus, it works better in the Side Scrolling games though.
As for the suit, the Shoulder pads are rounded and she still has two light slashes on the front of the suit, and the Legs have points at the knees and feet.
So it looks like a smaller Vera Suit with a power suit theme.
Ugh how can you like the anime samus? It doesn't fit with the game in the slightest and it makes her stand out like fuck, not to mention it opposes the general style of the game. Hell I wouldn't hate the Zero Suit if it wasn't just T&A.
On the subject of the suit, I honestly hope it's just an early model and they plan to replace it. Scheme and colouring aside there's a fair amount of pretty terrible clipping going on and it doesn't look too great. Colourwise it looks a lot like the Super Metroid power suit though, I just realize that. Not just "yellow and red" but the shade of yellow is similar. The monster has a penis on its head though.
Metroid: Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission are two of my fave Metroid games and both are in the anime style.
I think it works really well.
The style of the Game is Space/Futuristic and Anime can do a good job of showing that.
And the Zero Suit i can understand.

I loved the older style but, as long as i get the Gravity Suit ill be happy.

Two of the worst Metroid games? I'll chalk that up to opinion.
While every enjoys Super Metroid the most, I found Metroid Zero Mission to be the best of the 2D series. The music, the sound, the style most of all, the subtle effects really make for a great game. The controls were probably the best and the game kept true to the first one WHILE adding on enough to make the game even better.
Fusion I had minor gripes with but overall it was a pretty nice game, I didn't like Samus's suit but the gameplay made up for it.
OT: Metroid Other M has me horribly worried, not only is it not Nintendo or Retro Studios making the game, it's Team Ninja of all companies. Team Ninja is known for women with massive tits wearing near nothing getting covered in goo, beaten up and taken away. Men in rubber suits running around dicing people into tiny pieces. And they are certainly not known for graphics as their two latest titles certainly had issues in that department. In Ninja Gaiden 2 the tables would be up to Ryu's shoulders in some rooms, and below his waist in others. And in some rooms it just looked horrible. I'm also bias against Ninja Gaiden 2 for it being 5 times more shit than it's FAR more fun older brother Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
Metroid is about subtle effects, exploring and puzzles. I half expect Samus to have her chest piece knocked off in the first cutscnene letting her E cup breasts swing about as she battles a poorly rendered Ridley. Also, they made Samus's suit REAAAALLY ugly, and so far from screen shots I've seen that Metroid Prime 1 (made in 2002) looks a lot nicer than a game 8 years newer. But graphics aren't everything so let's hope the gameplay makes up for it.
So while T.N. is great at doing mean and fast hack and slash games, I doubt their ability to make a Metroid game. But I VERY much hope to be proven wrong by this and have another fantastic Metroid title in my hands/on my shelf.
