Its not a competition, i have as well seen very bad stuff about US in CNN, BBC etc etc. What i asked u was a real link, not a statement that news cast beats hollywood, that already know.

And no, it is cultural, trust me its a retarded cultural thing to not even say it because, nothing will be done, regradeless of trust or not, they just dont do it.

I live about a hundred miles away from Mexico. I've made a few friends with illegal immigrants, and understand a bit about how bad it is over there.

In all honesty, I worry about Mexico a bit. I used to be all about "no borders at all", but the shit that Cartel is doing is rivaling the Taliban. And they don't even have a religious motive. This is all a hypothetical, and if they get a bit more aggressive.

I think it's going to become the next Afghanistan or Iraq, and the US is going to get involved.

However, I have been down there(although it was safer times), and there's a certain charm about the place. It feels old, but welcome. It's hard to explain.

No i havent witnessed any violence in fact. Mex city is so far the same drug war or not, as if nothing had happened realy, besides traffic jams and the ups and downs of every city; its pretty peaceful atm.
During 2008-2012 i have visited mainly southern states such as Yucatán, Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco and passed by Veracruz. The weeks i was there went also pretty normal with only soldiers in the highways cheking now and then, yet my car was never held back for closer inspection and i passed several of them (with x-ray trucks and all).
I also went to Chihuahua, to the Barrancas del cobre, Mochis, rode in the Chepe last year in october, besides being impressed by its beauty and magnificence of the mountains, there was a pretty much normal touristic travel, no violence, no death bodies, hell not even many soldiers around.

Sorry, I get what you mean but if it makes you feel better the first thing I thought was all the awesome places I've seen as you can see on my first post in this thread, but regardless the violence is a huge issue right now and really gets me down right now, I mean I Can't even go walk in the street without seeing those clubs where they prostitute women they kidnapped whether from México or the USA, you know it's so sickening everybody knows that's what they are but there's nothing I can do about it it's so disgusting, I mean a lot of them are just children around the ages of 15-19 and they are only able to do it because they have them drugged all day, you know it's just so horrible to know and see that this is happening and that nothing is been done to stop it, the police knows they just don't care because they're getting paid to not do anything about it, I don't know maybe I'm being pessimistic but it does feel like the whole place is falling apart, it's just bad right now, it's like once I saw one part of the issue everything else appeared out of nowhere and I can't stop seeing it, it's just horrible, and I know there are plenty of places here where it's fine but what about those who aren't, I mean are we just supposed to forget about them and move on with our lives? I mean I guess that's the only way to be happy but what kind of person am I if I just ignore them, I just know I want to do something but it feels like I can't do anything about it, it's just so disgusting.

Well not really, the whole -most dangerous place of earth- is exagerated A LOT. Hell in my 26 years of living here i have never EVER seen a dead body (outside funerals) and i travel here in Mex a lot around. I might have been horribly lucky, but if it was as bad as -the most dangerous place of earth- well i wouldnt be even typing here and most probably be w/o internet and probably 6 feet buried.

Yeah I can't argue that it's a pretty bad exaggeration but it is still a heal of a lot more dangerous than where I live. From what I understand being frequently mugged as a tourist isn't as much of an exaggeration as the whole "kidnap, kill you and dispose of your body in acid barrels crap" that you see all the time.
