When I first heard about Final Fantasy coming to the 360 I heard a thousand PS3 fanboys screaming in rage, and imagined the smiles of a thousand 360 fanboys.

When I heard MGS coming to the 360 I imagined a million PS3 fanboys screaming in rage, crying for blood. Then I imagined I heard a million 360 fanboys laughing.

Anyone else thought this?

Yes I thought that, I thought it was dream come through for me (finally a MGS I can play!) but then I heard it'll star the infamous Raiden, and will probably go for a much more action oriented style. Then my dream turned into a sad sad face. Nah it's not so bad, I'm still very excited. Damn I love this year's E3, it's 1 big nerdgasm fest so far.

It'll probably be 360 and PS3, knowing how rooted the series is in PlayStation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be the first MGS to be on a console besides PlayStation? (Besides cell phone games, which I think a few were made... but nobody really counts those )

No. The first two games were on the MSX (there were also ports to the NES and Snakes Revenge), then we had MGS 2 Subsistance which was for the Xbox and the remake of MGS 1 on the GameCube (which is my favourite version fo the game).

Raiden was a great character! He was introduced as a whiny little ***** boy for newcomers to the series as he would ask the questions that Snake wouldn't. Also his... green... personality emphasised Snake's badassness much more. In MGS4 he got a make-over (i.e. brutally tortured, having head and spine severed from body and lower jaw and implanted onto a cybernetic ninja suit, hell yes I might add, to satiate the fans craving to want to do... well.. just that) and was awesome. Yes, ok, it rained on his birthday, there there Raiden stop crying here's a razor blade... but still his character transformation was fantastic in that game.


Anyhoo, interesting little turn of events there. If there is no PS3 version... well, guess I'll have to get a 360.

I also hear speculation that there may be a separate game for the PS3 starring Big Boss (fuck. yes.), what do we make of that?
