There is a Live Seance going on at the moment, on Sky One (channel 106 on sky, and on virgin media, I'm not sure). They are using Derek Acorah to try and "reach" the king of pop live.

Any thoughts on this my fellow escapists?
Anyone believe in these seances?

Personally I think they are raping a dead horse.. and that David Gest deserves pain, and lots of it.

I believe in their profitability considering the amount of people who are gonna want to watch irrespective of whether or not they think it works. XD

Why can't they just let that hack be dead already! I am sick of hearing his music and listening to people talk about him as a flawless messiah.

Seances are just bullshit. They're just wasting time, money and resources.

Pretty much this.

Stop talking about him or treat him like a god. You didn't do that one or two years ago so why start now?

well before I get Ninja'ed.

The only way this seance could work is if it was done by a 7 year old boy. Then MJ will come running from the grave baby!

Let me be honest about something here:

I really did like Michael Jackson when I was younger, and a lot of his earliest music. I was a kid when it came out and pretty much worshipped "Thriller", "Beat It" and other early songs he did. *BUT* in his later years he became a freak and there is no excuse for it. You can't even deny the baby dangling thing, and honestly the fact that he settled the child molestation allegations at the loss of a substantial amount of his personal fortune seemed to me as a confession of guilt as much as anything (buying his way out of jail time). Then of course there was the stuff they found in his house, like the bedroom security systems, and the hidden "pervo throne room" through a hidden wall panel where he took children to play and apparently plied them with booze (how much remains under speculation).

Truthfully Michael's death came about right as he was about to complete a downward spiral into oblivion and freakdom. The timing was just barely on the edge of where his image could be saved (intentional or not).

That said contacting the guy with a seance sounds like a recipe for disaster. IF you believe in such things Michael isn't exactly what I'd consider a benevolent fellow to leave behind a benevolent and communicative spirit (if an act, I'd wonder how the guys doing the seance would portray him).

For those that don't believe in things, it's simply tacky, and I have to wonder how much money they are making off of it.

I have very mixed opinions when it comes to paranormal activity to begin with, however my basic attitude is that if contacting spirits is possible it isn't that easy.

Hey, fuck you!
I was going to say that!

Anyway, why would you want to contact him?
That is a very good question.

I don't think the soul could truly escape the body through all that goddamn plastic, he is probably still trying to get out.

Derek Acorah irritates the absolute living daylights out of me. I wouldn't pay attention to him if he were the last person alive. I think it's all a load of rubbish, then again, that's just my opinion.

I was watching it on Harry Hill's TV Burp. It looked completely awful.

I couldn't take it seriously after that South Park episode. Just like that Guy who got 1000000 points on Guitar Hero.

Derek Acorah is hilarious! He basically admits he is a fraud. He will get 'possessed' in every seance he does, that is a fact! Plus when he is doing his 'psychic' stuff his favourite words are "Whats that sam?" (his African spirit guide) and "I'm getting a man called John coming through, he is very gaunt".
