Nothing is funnier than fat people on DDR. Except maybe fat goths on DDR.

I heartily endorse this.

To soften my insensitive statements I will say a friend of mine is of the larger persuasion, and she kicks everyone's ass at DDR, guitar hero and any kind of physical game there is.

Hahahahaha- Oh, she is serious, isn't she?

Go bother the Wii, and/or let the parents do the parenting. Leave the video games for escapism and entertainment.

Not to say that healthy living should not be a concern for all.

Good stuff! Offering incentives to develop a better alternative is much preferred to needless demonizing. As well I hope something really interesting comes out of this.

How about a game that promotes a First Lady who shuts the hell up?
That was uncalled for. She wants to help children and you tell her to shut up. Are you Rush Limbaugh?
No, just someone who's sick to death of politicians/people connected to politicians.

I'm all for games trying to get kids to work out, but how about getting the parents to pull the friggin' plug and tell them to go outside instead of video games basically raising their kids? The idea's noble, it's just that there are alternative methods to getting people to exercise. Making 'em fun is probably the only way I'd ever work out ('cause if I ain't enjoyin' or ain't interested, then I also ain't payin' attention), but there's also the little thing of making them fun.

Hmm, Mirrors Edge anyone? That'd also sort out all the kids who CAN'T make 10 foot jumps from second story roofs.

I nominate "Adventures in Sex City". But it will prolly get disqualified since it is made in Canada.

Huh. I keep forgetting that I'm supposed to care what either Obama thinks. Hooray for another screw-up president.

OT: Who cares? I'd rather play MW2 than some healthy crap!

First off, I can't see any educational game becoming very popular at all outside school. What are they planning to do with such a program anyway? The market is already saturated with similar products, and those don't have much influence. Lastly, when they do get a game concept, the cost of producing is likely not going to be a large budget that popular mainstream games have. I foresee this ending up as an entirely forgettable product. Sorry if I seem a little pessimistic.

Well games can promote mental health. But not so much physical. Maybe if they come out with virtual reality glasses so you can run around in a game in your backyard. Like ARI in Heavy Rain. That would kick ass.
