Microsoft and Nvidia Quit PC Gaming Alliance - UPDATED

The update response seems like bullshit to me, how would staying in the group drain poor Microsoft's resources or attention from making their games? They're just PRing. That being said I don't really care that they left, I didn't even know about PC Gaming Alliance until I read this story.

Hahahaha! More time and effort he says! By making Games for Windows Live an even bigger ***** for consumers and developers to use? This is proof that Microsoft can't stay out of its own way, because everything that they are doing to GFWL is eventually going to cause the death of PC gaming as we know it.
You want to put more time and effort into PC gaming? Alright! Start by putting Halo 3 and Reach, Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3, Fable 2 and Fable 3, and Alan Wake on PC, and developing a much cleaner and less abominable version of GFWL that can rival Steam if you REALLY want to start putting more effort into PC gaming. And I'm not talking about shitty ports. Oh, wait, can't do that? Well, do I know a better place you can start! Throw GFWL in a bin, and HURL YOURSELVES OFF OF A FUCKING CLIFF.

The point is that if M$ really wanted to sabotage PC gaming, they wouldn't do ANYTHING for PC gaming.
No compatibility perks, no new versions of directx on the PC, no directx9 compliancy requirements for the windows GUI, but that's not the case.
My point wasn't that the controller doesn't meet my personal tastes, it was that the controller offers nothing that dozens of other controllers already on the market don't offer.veloper said:
