I think so. Problem with publishing through companies like EA is they will charge up the rear making it very hard for small indie companies to get their game out on popular systems. Now that they publish themselves you open to market to fresher ideas that may keep the game market going and provide new interactive experiences. Indie support is absolutely necessary.Thoralata said:So the XBox One has more indie support.
That's... good I guess? Never really considered indie support to be a key component of a console.
I'm glad MS changed but I'm still not getting a Xbox One. Here's the problem some are missing. It's not the fact they backpedaled and changed all this s*** for the better. It's really good they did. It's the fact that they started off intent on screwing the user as much as possible through god awful restrictions. Then when people openly voiced concerns about it they said f*** you right off the bat. No comment about looking into the possibility of changing things, no attempt to reason and appease just straight up go f*** yourself. Then when things started looking bad pre-sales and review wise they completely changed.
It's the fact they were so ready to screw everyone over and be completely content with it that bothers me and makes me not want to touch their gaming system. Simple fact is you don't bite the hand that feeds you. Even worse you don't bite it and then come back begging for more and act like nothing is wrong.
