Microsoft "Investing to Win" in Europe

Yh I'm European and I feel we as a continent kinda drew the short straw when it comes to games and their development, mainly because if a game is designed in America or Japan we can expect it in at least 1 month whereas if we (Europeans) design a game America and Japan get it as soon as we do. Kinda sucks.

I think as far as 'this hardware generation' that is a statement aimed at the 360 and PS3. As Nintendo opted to develop a system not built around up to date technology, to make it affordable to everyone, it looks as if it's not considered this generation by Sony and Microsoft.

But Xbox isn't beating Ps3; anybody that isn't a blinkered, die hard Xbox fanatic can see that.

(Very jaded Xbox 360 owner by the way.)

I think it's too little to late.

The 360's been out on the market...how many years? I'll say 3 years, and they've focused almost all their attention to the US. Sure they tried to strike it good with Japan with Blue Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery (Or was it the other oddly named game?) but they've focused on the US to much and as a result the Wii and PS3 are dominating everywhere else if not partly in the US.

The Wii targeted everyone, so it was natural it would take over the world.
The PS3 targeted everyone who already had a PS2 and some more.
The 360 targeted the US at the point where they rely solely on the country.

Because MS has such a huge userbase in the US alone, what's going to happen when they loose the stranglehold of the US? I can understand why they would try and gain popularity in Europe and such, but I think it's too little to late.

Yeah, but its still not exactly dominating the market. And realistically, its only going to get worse, since all the JRPGs are migrating, and the Ps3 is unveiling its exclusive ones.

Right, you know it's going to get worse because it's actually picking up steam right now. Great use of logic there.

If anything the JRPGs have been migrating to the 360 and it has far more JRPG exclusives than the PS3 does.

Do we need to count them? I name 6 - Disgaea 3, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, White Knight Chronicles (this I am genuinely excited about), Valkyria Chronicles, Folklore, and the next Shin Megami Tensei.

Are you counting games in total or just games that haven't been released. It's a little unclear since 3 of those (Disgaea, Valkyria and Folklore) have already been released in Japan AFAIK. If that's the case your comparision is a little unfair.
