This is a bad long-term investment strategy. If you really insist on keeping the franchise around, the worst thing to do is to cheapen the IP. This announcement only serves to remind us how much care and attention the corporate suits really give to their titles.
These statements always crack me up. What should a BUSINESS be concerned with? The impact a game has on society? Health care reform? The plight of the african swallow? THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF MAKING MONEY! Get over it.
I take it you have never taking a business class? Because from what I learned, businesses have to give products AND services(like customer relationships) if they want to have loyal customers. A strategy of course Bungie follows.
