How can they patent an idea like this? Just how can they be stupid enough to think that they can get away with patenting an idea like this?
I remember mock-ups of the VR devices of the 'future' appearing in gaming magazines in the early nineties. They included helmets that looked just as silly and ridiculous as this one, not to mention an enormous joy-stick device stuck to the poor model's groin. There are certainly technologies if developed that would make the idea feasible to market, but the idea itself?
Aren't they a couple of decades too late to claim that they thought of a gaming helmet first?
