Why do people care about graphics on consoles? Whatever happened to consoles just being cheaper alternatives to PC gaming? If people were really cared this much about graphics, why wouldn't they just invest in a PC? Because now it's actually cheaper to just get a PC then to get one of the current gen consoles, thanks to things like paying for multiplayer and PC games being much cheaper than console games. Consoles have somehow managed to degrade in quality over the last 2 generations than actually improve.

All the guy is saying is that the issue is extremely overblown, which I think most reasonable people would agree it is. Or was. I've been playing a bunch of games on both the Xbox and the PS4 and I literally cannot tell any difference.

These fanboy wars have been dying off lately and wouldn't even exist if it wasn't that news sites were peppering us with attention-grabbing headlines and sensationalist articles about "who sold slightly more units in 2013!" and "this guy on twitter says console X will have more exclusives!".

It's dumb. Just dumb.

Well, it is the most logical thing for Microsoft to say. Change your point from "It matters" to "It doesn't", simple, you look better to the not-fanboys.

This is just getting sad, Microsoft you made a console. That console has some pretty and fun games on it, make more of them and it won't even matter if the blood splatter contains slightly less pixels spurting out at you per second. The same goes for Sony really.

In fact, I really want somebody from Nintendo to catch both of them out on this whole business by showing that the vastly inferior Wii U can play games at 60 fps and 1080p, it has pretty games and they didn't have to dedicate as much of their marketing around their technology (besides the tablet).
