+1 I certainly think this is most likely. It's far too easy to slap a "5" on the end at this stage in the games life cycle. With things the way they are, any "Halo 5" would need to be a reboot with a slightly more intriguing title.LavaLampBamboo said:To me it seems like a joke. The Microsoft Home is this futuristic idea, so they put Halo 5 there as a way to say "LOOK! IT'S THE FUTURE!"
Tell that to CoD fans, I hate it when Call of Duty : World at War gets called Cod 5 >.< TO me there hasnt been a Call of Duty 5 yet, just lots of spin offsProverbial Jon said:As a Halo fan... I say no more Halo!
Bungie had the sense to leave the franchise. Microsoft will just milk it so dry that the painful feeling it leaves will corrupt even the most diehard fans.
Good point. Rather like Metal Gear Solid 3? Way to mess up the continuity Microsoft!Ekit said:Maybe they consider Halo: Reach to be Halo 4 since, even though it's a prequel, was released after Halo 3.
I'm guessing here that they probably thought of Reach as number 4. However I always feel that games with subtitles and no number should not be counted as "official" games in the series. Look at Resident Evil, there are numerous spin off titles but there's still a core series running through the middle, 1 to 5. (Does RE: Zero count?)
I have Halos 1 - 3 and Wars laying around somewhere. But I don't mean about on these forums - though that is annoying too - but in daily life, its plastered all over the internet, on tv, and I hear twats and little kids going on and on about it all the time (note: I'm not implying everyone who likes cod is a twat, but I hear a lot of twats talk about it)Dirty-Zombie said:So have you ever played these games or are you just pretending to have an opinion on something that doesn't affect you in anyway other than seeing a couple of threads on a forum about them?TimbukTurnip said:I've never bought a CoD game either, thats not what I meant. What annoys me is everyone constantly going on about it when its just so . . bland and generic. And hell, even if I liked the games, people constantly going on about them would still annoy me, though I suppose probably not as much.ultrachicken said:So don't buy it. There's nothing to complain about.TimbukTurnip said:Oh god, not more Halo, I've already had as much as I can put up with this Call of Duty craze.
And using the call of duty argument is just so old, come up with a better argument than just comparing stuff to call of duty.
drowning in shit's creek. RTS is parasitically bonded to the mouse and keyboard to the point where without them, the game is unplayable at best. Halo Wars is an insult to legitimate companies involved in things like Funiture making, while a total affront to companies like BLizzard Entertainment.Jack Macaque said:Where the hell is Halo Wars 2?? Halo 5, blah.
