So. I just found out that THESE THREE guys:

[img src="http://starsmedia.ign.com/stars/image/article/820/820308/marcus-fenix-20070918005758519_640w.jpg" /]
[img src="http://outskirtsbattledome.wikispaces.com/file/view/Bender.jpg/125149777/Bender.jpg" /]
[img src="http://moonflowzanarkand.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/wakkaprofile.jpg" /]

... all share a voice. The one blowing my mind is Wakka since I'd think that John DiMaggio's tongue would have leaped into his brain and pulverized its language center in a desperate attempt to save lifekind from the "happy festival fireworks" line.

What other voices can you think of that share strange or unexpected roles?

I recently found out that Chris Parnell voices Cyril from Archer. That was pretty awesome

Wow, Marcus Fenix and Bender are in the pictures and they still get out-douched by whoever the third guy is, and this is just via pictures!

I didn't realise Benny from New Vegas was Chandler from Friends until I saw Matthew Perry's name in the wiki a little while after finishing the game.

And I thought Matthew Perry was a stand-up guy. Turns out he was a fink all along.

David Boreanz (aka Angel) did Leon in Kingdom Hearts.

When I saw that, all I could think was "lolwut".

What do Winnie the Pooh, the Master from Fallout, Ed from The Lion King and Rasputin's singing voice in Anastasia all have in common?

They're all voiced by Jim Cummings. Seriously this guy has an amazing range of voices!

Steve Blum (i.e. Spike "motherfucking" Speigel and Garcia "fucking" Hotspur, respecively) did the voice for Grunt in Mass Effect 2

Finding out John DiMaggio voiced Wakka just now. W.T.F?! I cringed every time Wakka (or Rikku or Tidus) opened his mouth in FFX. No, I won't believe it. John DiMaggio didn't do that role; he can do no wrong!

Before that, finding out that the voice of the Joker from the 90s Batman Animated series (and Arkham Asylum/City) was Mark Hamil. I reacted thusly: "Mark Hamil? Not the Mark Hamil, right? Not the guy who played Luke Skywalker, just someone with the same name? Same guy? Are you trying to trick me into looking it up on IMDB?" I had to actually see a clip of him doing the voice before I believed it.

He alters his voice so well, and that laugh...my god. Best Joker ever IMO.

The voice of the Ninja in Metal Gear Solid for the PSX is Grim from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Greg Eagles.
The voice of the Ninja in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for GCN is Yakko from Animaniacs, Rob Paulsen.
The voice of Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is Marvin (The Guy who gets shot in the face) in Pulp Fiction, Phil Lamarr. He was also in Roots, Star Trek: The Next Generation and had a stint on MadTV.

It isn't much, but it's certainly interesting, once you hear the voices. Some might surprise you.

Lavi from D-Grey Man
Akira Takizawa from Eden of the East
Faize Sheifa Beleth from Star Ocean: Last Hope
David Nassau from The Last Remnant
Capell from Infinate Undiscovery
Abel from Street Fighter IV
Hei from Darker Than Black
Syaoran from Tsubasa
Black Cat / Train Heartnet from Black Cat
Alphonse Heidrich from Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa

All of these characters are voiced by Jason Liebrecht
Also, this guy does Kratos from God of War

Seriously, does not look like he has that killer a voice.

EDIT: hm, should have made it clear, Jason Liebrecht does not voice Kratos, T.C.Carson does.

John DiMaggio is amazing. But, yeah, like Lord Mountbatten up there I was really surprised that Benny was voiced by Matthew Perry. I don't know if that makes Benny's voice more or less sexy than before, but either way I now have a thing for weird fifties slang.

I think the biggest one for me was finding out that the voice of Dan Smith from killer7 is also Gimble, the incredibly effeminate British psychopath from Vampire. Learn something new every day. Also, Basch fon Ronsenberg and Marluxia are the same guy.

Mark "Will Voice Act For Food" Hamil? Yeah, check out his resume. It's shocking what he can do with his voice.

And this is why Steve Blum is the third manliest man in existence.

Yeah. Actually, three people that you find all over the place are Steve Blum, for badasses; Jonny Young-Bosch for the young, possible clueless hero; and Nolan North for the wise cracking modern hero.

Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) players Adrian Ripburger in Full Throttle. Can't even recognize his voice in the slightest, even after finding out.

If it makes you feel any better, he did Kimahri as well.

But yeah, John DiMaggio is nothing short of impressive. I mean, DAMN can he ever change his voice?

The only voice acting revelation that truly blew my mind was Claire Redfield's voice actor, Alyson Court, who before voice Claire played, get this... Loonette the Clown on The Big Comfy Couch.

Outside Resident Evil, Alyson Court only ever performed roles in children's programming sooo... The jump from children's shows to Resident Evil is kinda funny :S

I've actually looked at his acting credits and watched or played some things just for his parts. I've yet to find one that I can imagine saying any line from Star Wars. Seriously, just try to imagine the Joker saying, "I'm a Jedi, like my father before me."
