Good for Minecraft. It'll probably go down (some party pooper will probably come along and complain about the lack of story), but it's nice that the critics in this case are able to overlook graphical shortcomings.
No one will take games seriously as long as the majority of gamers rely on numbers, letter grades and stars to decide whether or not a game is good. Just write a review, and Don't put a score anywhere. If someone passes over your review because there was no score, they probably wouldn't have read the review anyway.
You don't need to be good at making review scores, you need to be good at writing.
