As of Saturday, September 18, Notch is upgrading and tweaking the Minecraft servers and should be done by Monday the 20th. The good news is that Minecraft Alpha is Free to play for the duration. So if your on the fence for buying this game, check it out.

Basically you harvest cubes of things such as wood, dirt, stone, iron etc to make into tools and build things out of.

Also try not to get blown up by creepers.

Well you can make a giant castle,Build a boat and explore, [sub][sub]Get chased and blown up by 6 Creepers...[/sub][/sub].
The possiblities are only limited to your imagination.
