That will show you all the blueprints to make things.
First thing to do, tear down a tree with your bare hands. Bring up your inventory with I, and put the logs in your crafting workspace (All in the same square.) You now have wood blocks. Put one of these blocks in each square, and you will get a workbench.
Equip the workbench, and lay it down with right click. Right click the workbench again, and you will have a 9x9 crafting area. You can now make a many things, including a wood pickaxe (see the crafting page for how to make) which will allow you to mine stone into useable blocks. You can make better pickaxes out of stone, iron, gold, and eventually diamonds.
Once you've got a pickaxe and a workbench, you can really start playing the game. Arranging the correct materials in the patterns found on that wiki page will allow you to create many different items (including boats). Pickaxes (along with axes, shovels, and flint+steel,) do break down after a certain number of uses. Higher level tools last longer.
