The cutscenes are playable I love that, but after 4 or 5 necros they get less scary and more "out of my way saw gun to the face".

Brilliant review man, thanks, definitely getting this game.

Though I have a question, roughly how long did it take to complete?

Around 12 hours on Normal, but that's including at least 30 minutes of me just wandering around gawping at the pretty vistas.

I got the game, finished it, loved it, and I agree with every part of this review.

I've just got a quick question; the in game save timer thingy (I hope you know what I mean ) tells me that my first playthrough clocked in at about 5 hours, and I was playing on Survivalist. Am I just really fast at completing the game, or is there something wrong with the timer? Because I could have sworn it took more time than 5 hours...

Oh, and here's my opinion on the machine, you know, that one:

I'm not a squeamish person at all, but that eye needle death scene nearly made me look away, and the success scene still made me cringe. Very shocking, but very well done IMO.

Sounds like a bug to me dude, I can't imagine anyone finishing it in 5 hours, especially on first playthrough!

My second 'faster' run took me 10 hours at least.

Sounds like a bug to me dude, I can't imagine anyone finishing it in 5 hours, especially on first playthrough!

Yeah, it felt like it took a lot more than 5 hours. I'm sticking with the bug theory, because when I had DS1 on Steam, the in game timer told me it took me 6 hours to complete it, But the Steam timer told me 10 hours.
