Urrrrrggghh. Why do I never learn?
Anyway, this review actually got me interested in the game, which I believed just about impossible. It appears that the one big thing that bothered me enough about F3 so as not to play it any further than exiting the vault has been fixed in this installment: The bleak colors and scenery. I'm still ignorant of why people get so weird about these games at all because I've never played F1 and F2, but I do recognize interesting features and mechanics when I see them, and New Vegas appears to have them in spades. I suppose I'll wait another six months to play it so most of the apparently vital patchwork will have been done by the time I pick it up, but the fact that I'm willing to play any Fallout game after the (imo) craptastic greyish-brown rubblefest of F3 should make clear to you just how good a job you did with this review, my friend.
By the way: Still waiting on you to get War for Cybertron.
