im sure the first time i heard the song, she said "i don't need a pair of shoes baby if i got you, baby if i got you i don't need a pair of shoes" (pair of shoes replaces par-a-chute)

I can use the same song I used in the other music thread...

Mostly the chorus:
"A nightingale in a golden cage
That's me locked inside reality's maze
Come someone make my heavy heart light
Come undone
Bring me back to life"

I could've sworn there was the word 'Light gun' or 'pop gun' somewhere in there...

Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze.

'Cuse me whilst I kiss the sky' and easily be mistaken for 'Cuse me whilst I kiss this guy'.

Almost everything in Aesop Rock's "None Shall Pass". I love the song, but I mostly just sing things that sound like words when I sing to it in the car.

Waking the Cadaver - Chased through the Woods.

One of the worst songs ever, but a bloody hilarious lyric interpretation.

Rock the Casbah has been so misheard it's ridiculous

Oh, and my favorite isn't a mishear, but something I always say instead of the right lyrics. Boston's "Peace of Mind" goes

All I want is to have my peace of mind

but I prefer saying

All I want is to have a piece of pie

Blinded by the Light by Bruce Springsteen, most people seem to think the line "Revved up like a deuce" is "set loose like a douche". Doesn't help that The Manfred Mann's Earth Band's cover (by far the most popular version of the song) actually pronounces it the wrong way.

This has created an irrational fear of Shredded Wheat for me.

Then it's served its purpose.

Edit: Why don't my avatars ever animate like they're supposed to?

Most of the things Bob Dylan has ever said.
Fixed.
I think he went through a nearly coherent patch in the 80s.
Haha a local radio station has a commercial where Bob Dylan finally learns how to sing, and then sings German Opera, and its like "Bob Dylan is at his best when he's incoherent, and when he sings Opera, hes at his incoherent best! We promise you won't understand a word!" With German opera playing in the background of course.
