She's probably just jealous she can't play, besides, being Miss America is only slightly more prestigious than being a high school janitor.

Lack of exposure due to those darn video games. How will our children know how stupid people are if they are playing video games?

Apparently you haven't heard of the IStick from Apple. you can do anything that a normal stick could do, Only better.

Also I like how she is a Broadcast journalism major and is advocating that people stop watching TV.

Meh... Who really cares about those Miss America Pageants and all that any more besides creepy old men who have not yet discovered the magical world of the internet and overbearing mothers who will inevitably force there children into similar pageants... and there's no hope for those kids anyways.

I didn't go through all the pages, but in case it hasn't been said:
1) I agree, she and her offspring should go play in traffic and
2) I don't understand why these glorified whores get so much press in the US. They're models. They're all coked up and retarded.
1) "Go play in traffic" is among my favorite ways of dismissing people I don't like, and yes, perhaps they should. "Mommy, mommy, I wanna be roadkill for Halloween!"

2) They don't get much press here at all. I had no idea that the pageant was going on until I saw this thread. And technically, not ALL of them are models- some are legitimately intelligent and fun people. I've hung out with a contestant from a couple of years ago; she was anything but an airhead.

Overall, though, yeah... Not much goes on in the spaces between their ears other than shoes and eye liner.

Then there's the chick that said that thing about gays, that got covered for months.
Then there's the chick that that old senile dude tried to make vice president.

We're all monkeys. Always will be. This is also a time of pollution, war, famine, water shortage, global climate change (don't deny it), and corporate steam rolling of democracy. So... Why is our society superior?

Must games journalists take every opportunity to find any public figure who has a negative opinion of gaming & counter their line of argument by mock them?
It's not that she has a negative opinion of video games, it's that it's a blanket statement and it's not backed up by any valid evidence apart from "I played with sticks when I was younger." Now, if it was something like "X% of children spend Y amount of time playing videogames which leads to complications such as Z" then it'd be a little more valid.

She must've come from the perfect little world where going outside didn't mean getting beat the fuck up or shot or something.

Tongue-in-cheek jokes aside, I used to play outside when I was younger before retreating back inside and playing videogames when it got dark out. I'm not as active as I'd like to be, but that does not stop me form enjoying things outside the house. This **** has no idea what the fuck she's talking about. I could throw on some underwear and prance my ass around the stage, too. It's not that fucking hard to remember speeches either.

I think she's just jumping on the "Video games are bad, end them all or we will all kill each other!" bandwagon.

This is what we got out of Miss America this year: eyes bleeding from watching Rush Limbaugh dancing to Lady Gaga, and then some girl dissing videogames who has way too much face for that head, probably because her boyfriends paid more attention to their games than her. I myself find taking time to get out a good idea, when you have somewhere to go. But it ain't just videogames that is keeping kids indoors. Dare I make the Top Ten List? It ain't pretty and I have my doubts she even paid much thought to these other situations.

1. School Shootings
2. Child Molesters (or just those with any sort of sex crime on their record)
3. Irresponsible drivers (Usually under the DUI or celphone category)
4. Irresponsible parents
5. Bullies
6. Drug Dealers
7. Swine Flu(Or H1N1 for you PC people), Bird Flu, Nile Virus, just plain Influenza, etc.
8. Rampant kidnappings
9. Illegal Immigrants (I've heard some parents express concern about this being an issue to stay indoors)
10. Pit bulls (and other large "dangerous" dogs)

Now tell me which you find might be actual concerns and what others are just ignorant paranoia. Granted some might fall in both for different reasons.

[/paying word to some fluffhead]

This Miss America isn't that important anyway. I guess being Miss America is the more sophisticated way for woman to flaunt themselves and make money! But she helps people right?
If by helps people you mean does nothing.
I suspected as much...
Trust me, she is helping people by doing nothing. I would pay her $20 to not help.
