I haven't played it, but it sounds good. If they had it back then with old technology and horrible lag then why can't they bring it back with all their new fangled technobabble?

Me and one of my friends have thought that something like this would work. We felt smart after thinking it. It really is a great idea.

Perhaps leveling is passive in this regard? If you spend a lot of time sniping you'll get better at sniping, but once you stop sniping your level will start to go down in sniping as your pistol level goes up. This would prevent hybrids from dominating and allow players to flow into their niche without going through the evils of trial and error. Thought you were going to be an epic sniper, but instead spend all your time infiltrating with your silenced pistol? Well congratz, the game will take care of that under the hood. I'd like to see this system in place if only too see how people react to it.
