Cell phone technology is one of the fastest moving technologies out there. Every month, it seems, there is a new phone with a bigger screen, more powerful processor, larger camera, or even more capabilities we haven't thought a "phone" could do. It is often hard to keep up with, and unless you can afford to upgrade every year, you're probably lagging behind tech wise. So Escapists, what do you think of all these new phones coming out recently? From the iPhone 4(lol), to the Droid 2(coming out this month), there are a lot of options.

What Mobile/Cell phone do you have right now?

What do you want to get when you upgrade?

Right now I have an LG Dare. It's a very solid phone, however it is all touch screen, and didn't get very popular or well known. I won't have it for long though, as I am upgrading to the Droid X. Also all touch screen. I hate those fold out/flip out/slide out itty bitty keyboards that texting fiends seem to love. Plus it will help for school- I'm killing 5 birds with 1 stone. I will probably write a review of it. Look for it if you are interested in the phone.

I don't have a phone at all right now. Honestly, all I want is a phone that, you know, calls people. That'd make me happy...

After working for att and seeing how many things can go wrong with newer phones and all that good tech I currently have a Samsung brick. Sure it doesn't take pictures or access the internet but I rarely ever drop a call and have service unless I'm way out in the boonies.

I own an HTC Desire. I'm constantly up and knowing about phones and computers.

My job really, so it helps to also have an interest in it. Specially when you get told you need to choose a phone model for your company that they need.

This is my first touch screen phone though and my first HTC phone.

I've always been a die-hard button and keyboard man.

I had the EnV Touch, which was cool and all but I quickly got bored of it and the limited things it could do. Switched over to the Storm 1 and have that still....though I would very much like to get a G1 Droid....don't really care for all the newer ones. But having a keyboard and a touch screen all in one would make me happy.

HTC Evo 4G. I made a thread about phones... No one posted.

OT: I love it, it does everything I need and more.

Edit: I never want to upgrade.

I have a Sony Ericsson W810i. Served me well for 5 years now. Who needs an iphone when mine can call, txt, listen to music and radio. Battery that lastes me at least 3 days on 1 charge too. If i wanted to upgrade (when my current one bites the dust) i would get an HTEC Evo or something. Not like its happening anytime soon, and thats a good thing

I want to get a HTC. A friend of mine has one and it can be turned into a wireless router that routes to the Telstra 3g internet just by hitting 3 buttons. That is completely awesome. His is a HTC Hero I believe.

I've got the iPhone 4. I don't care what people say about it I love it so much. Even for the few hours before the antenna flaw became such a big story I was holding it right.

I managed to get hold of an iphone 4 last month. I didn't buy it, way too expensive. It was a 21st birthday present from most of my family. (inb4 anti-apple shitstorm) I think it's a really good phone. I use it for gaming as well and games on the retina display look bloody fantastic. I haven't experienced any trouble with either proximity sensor or antenna issue. I've a sim contract that expires in December 2011 and I can see myself keeping this phone long after that.

Before my iphone i had a LG Viewty. Pretty solid phone. good camera. You could record video at 120fps and then play it back at 30fps to get super-slowmo videos. Pretty cool if anyone was looking for a smart-ish phone.

I don't own a mobile phone.

I will by the end of the month though.
Pro tip. Don't get any Sony Ericson phones. Samsung are pretty reliable though.

I have a Nokia N97 Mini

full keyboard <3
If I were to upgrade, I want a phone without so much thingies on the front screen, cause I can hide them, but there's still this little window, and it pops up if I accidentally press the button..
And better reception antennae..
