I've got an iPhone 3GS, it's miles better than I thought it'd be, actually good enough that I don't think I'll bother upgrading until either the battery completely dies or I find myself wanting more than 16GB of memory. Certainly a step you on my last two Sony Ericssons and it's always nice to have a fair amount of my music on me where ever I go.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. I really like the push email feature on it, but I want to upgrade to the newest iPhone as soon as I can.

From the iPhone 4(lol), to the Droid 2(coming out this month)
If you say "from and to", you're supposed to give examples of polar fucking opposites, in this case, the latest in mobile technology, and some low-end piece of equipment that can only call people, maybe even send SMSs.

i used to have a Motorola C975 an awesome phone, never drops calls, has buttons,3G..Its just a 10 year old iphone with buttons
Uhh, 6-year-old, actually. It was announced just six years ago.

Also, my phone is, in many ways, very similar to RAK's. I have the Nokia E72 [http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e72-2831.php]. I think it's great. It has a full keyboard (like the E71), it has fantastic battery life (like the E71), and some of it is made of metal, and it feels pretty sturdy to hold (like the E71, but maybe a bit less so, since less of it is metal), among other pros it has.

Many people say that they only want a phone that can call, but I enjoy having different programs that allow me to kill time whenever I need to wait somewhere (GBA ftw).

I've got an LG cookie and it is truly terrible. The touch-screen never works and it keeps going off. If anyone else is thinking of getting one, don't.

I have an old Nokia too! It's so old, it has a black and white screen.

It can't access the internet, it can't use colour, but it never runs out of battery (it lasts for over a week! After 5 years!), it calls (and never mucks around with volume or anything) and it sends and receives messages.

I am so happy with it. Sometimes I wish for a phone that would play something more interesting than the Nokia ringtone, but I wouldn't swap it for all the iPhones in the world :)

I gotta go hug my mobile phone now...

I got a Samsung Jet a few months ago; it is, how you might say, "Awesome-O".

Not sure what I'd upgrade to. The Galaxy looks pretty fit though.

I have a Samsung E900, wow...it has been almost 5 years.....but I'm never planning to "upgrade" until it dies and even then I doubt the new moblie phone would be technologically advanced

I have a Nokia 6300....apparently. I just use my dad's cast offs.

I only want a phone to call and text people. I have my PC for the Internet. My last phone (lovingingly called 'the brick' was a 3210. I loved that phone).

LG has the best phone name ever.

Sadly, I am not using one.
I'm on a hand me down HTC touch when my entire family move on to Blackberry. I would normally dismiss anyone who uses smartphones as being dumb, since they generally do not use any of the functionality. But I think I'll make an exception for my family. Being able to keep up with their investments 24/7 is a pretty damn important thing.

I have a Nokia something or other. It does the job, is tough, thin light and has a decent battery. I like it.

My old Physics teacher used to say that mobile phone companies will soon be the most technologically advanced in the world. He said in the past, the development of certain technologies had given cultures and civilizations massive advantages over the rest of the world, and that now that technology was the mobile phone. He wasn't prophesying doom so much as monumental change in the whole world. I tend to agree with him.

I still use my Sony Ericsson w300i as I prefer flip phones so I don't scratch the screen and don't dial accidently (yes, i have done with none flip phones even with number lock on) and it has a great MP3 player with the best pair of earphones I have come across on any phone yet and it is very small.
I have recommended this phone to friends of mine and a couple of them have actually got one and have thanked me for doing so as they too have found them to be fantastic. My other friends hate it as they only want phones that have all the latest gadgets and touch screens/ apps ect ect yet they never use those functions :/

I have never owned a phone and don't plan to any time soon. Due to the fact I don't go out much and have very few friends. Those I do have I can just talk to online, so yeah, I Have no need for such contraptions.

I have a Nokia E71 like a few of the other posters. It's an incredible phone for my use although it does have a few too many features. I gotta say i prefer a tactile keyboard so its great. Upgrade? well if they make the same phone with a faster processor that looks better than the E72 ill get it.

I've got a T-Mobile G1 Android-based phone that's eligible for upgrading at the end of this month. I'm looking at replacing it with a Samsung Galaxy.

(In the mean time, I'm keeping my G1 alive by modding it with replacement ROMs like Cyanogen [http://www.cyanogenmod.com]. Much, much faster than the stock G1.)

I have a very simple Samsung cell phone, with no real features besides the ability to text and make calls. I've had it for 3 years and the only problem I've had with it was that it's charger broke. This phone is the first phone I have and it works as good as the day I got it (but it has it's share of battle scars) I'm not looking to replace it and plan to hold onto it until breaks for good...

It was $20 with a 1 year contract...
