Vote's definitely in for Ed Byrne, he seems to gel with the others in the manner that Frankie does. Though i don't know if mtw's going to be the same without Frankie's edgy humour :(
I would definately love to see Ed Byrne as a regular on the show, his stand up stuff is great.

"Hey Ed, I see you're getting drunk, whats the occation?" "I was sober."

He had loads up on msn at one point.
Heres one of them: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cL51QamqY1Q

Also, I thought america had a version of Mock the Week, that was of the same name?

David Mitchell is in danger of overexposure. He seems to be on everything, and as much as I love PS, he really is starting to grind my gears.

:O !

Did not know that. That's a nice bit of info, cheers. More proof that my idea of Jimmy would work anyway - hehe.

Legendary bumpage there Mr Goncalves.

I really don't like Frankie Boyle. Merely being a loud swearing asshole isn't funny in itself. In fact as Michael Mcintyre has shown being an everyman and making humour out of the neurosis we all have is far funnier because we can all relate to it.

Talk about a thread necromancy lol

I love Mock the Week, it's defintly one of the funniest shows on TV. Yes, some of the jokes are controversal, but thats hardly new in comedy- saying risque things is fine in comedy, provided the jokes are not meant to be serious and do not invoke real intended harm to others.

Dara O'Brien is a great host, but what leaves me slightly mythed, and perhaps slightly irked, is when it it comes to the "scenes we would like to see" part of the show and Dara announces "this is for everyin'" instead of saying everyone. Is this how the Irish say "Everyone?" or is this just Dara?

If you don't know what im talking about, heres a clip from the show- he says it in the first few seconds. Yeah, this is...pedantic (if thats the right word) of me.
