Yes, I know, more MW2 stuff but stick with me a sec.
I never got this question clearly answered so I'm confused. What killstreak rewards count towards getting another killstreak reward? Like if I get a predator or something and kill a dude to get a chopper. What ones count?

I think the only one that doesn't carry over to new killstreaks is with the AC-130, you have to get a kill before the others start counting towards your next one.
The AC-130 does count, so long as it's not from a care package/emergency airdrop. If it didn't count, then the Chopper Gunner vs AC-130 'fight' would be over already.

Trying to finish up one last title before I prestiege again (25 pavelows) so I was looking for a dirtier way to get the last three to call in. (Currently sitting on Predator, Harrier and Pavelow)

Only thing I could think of making it better is switching Pred for the Airstrike, but what you have is probably better overall.

My original kill streak was care package, pred, ac130. most of the time, it's harrier, stealth, ac130. But since I've been doing well, it's harrier, ac130, tactical nuke.

Gotta love it

Consider it this way. 4 kills (Hardline) gives the Predator, get a double with it, call in the harriers, get a double then call in pavelow. Also, having four classes packed with One Man Army can help, especialy one with an M203. Get three kills, swap to the one with hardline, get another then start calling stuff in.

I haven't used one man army yet, but I really don't see it very useful: more just taking up a perk space.

Same with hardline. In my opinion, if 1 kill makes all the difference, you really don't deserve it

I'll take a crack at explaining it's usefulness. First off, proing it out should be your first step. With the the perk you can change your class anytime in five seconds. Pro does it in three. I had (Prestiged level 3 just now) my Sniper (Stopping Power, Steady Aim), Rifleman (Hardline, Steady Aim), Grenadier (Danger Close, Ninja) and Stealth (Cold-blooded, Ninja) Classes all with One Man Army. The use varries, but let me throw a few examples.

Example, you're on the rifle class, all the sudden air support such as a chopper jumps in. Rather than hide all day, you can pull up One Man Army, switch to stealth and hide in plain sight. Chopper goes away, switch back to your rifleman. Say you want a spotting position, but there are dudes possibly in the way. Use Rifle, Grenade or Stealth to barge your way in, then pull out your sniper rifle and get busy.

Changing classes on the fly is the major advantage. While you do loose out on a secondary weapon, there aren't a whole ton of times you need it. Even if you do, you can still have a class with a secondary available, you just cannot change back.

Finaly is the major advantage to it. You can change classes to the one you're currently on and replenish ammo and grenades (and your wepon if you threw it away). Here's what I do to be a cheap bastard. Camp with the grenadier class (M203+Semtex), fire off with reckless abandon, One Man Army to itself, fire off another three, rinse, repeat. This works way better than scavenger for the grenadier because by the time you have replenished the M203 with a blue bag you can use one man army to get two more grenades.

You can call me a n00b, a cheap camper or an explosives whore, but I live by the philosiphy of Price/Shepard. "Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to win?"

I might call you a cheap camper if you kill me (always pisses me off), but it's a viable strategy. I prefer seeing that over the akimbo shotguns or the marathon/lightweight/commando crap going around.

Amen to that. Though I must say that when I get pissed off by explosive whores or campers I sometimes take the marathon/lightweight/commando route, just to get them to give others a chance again.

OT: Personally I prefer Predator, Harrier and Pavelow. Safest and easiest way IMO.

Let's get this straight, the only way you can extend your killstreak with rewards from a killstreak is done by using every killstreak reward except EMP, Pavelow or Care package rewards.

The pavelow is currently bugged and it's kill do not count towards your streak.

AC-130 is better.

Though, slightly harder to use because of bullet travel. But it more well protected.
Yeah, but it's useless when you're actually playing against people with brains. They just run into buildings and it's impossible to hit them.

True, but when you know a level like that is coming up, thats when you change you KS. Of course, my favorite is always on underpass or wastelands: you can't hide from me then!

I usually run with a pretty bizzare KS list with

1) UAV
2) Counter-UAV
3) Emergency Airdrop/AC130

I usually prefer to keep shooting up people with the weapon in my hands. Just with much better intel than them.

All of them except any killstreak you get from a Care Package. Pave Low is apparently bugged though, and may or may not count.

Personally I use Predator, Harrier, Pave Low/AC-130. Or I use UAV, Care Package, Predator if I start doing badly.

Well I guess your question has been answered, all but care pacakge kills count.

Hmmm, what if you kill with the package itself, would that count?

Everything except for care packages. Best way to get kills; Play Hardcore like a man!
How is that manly? It's easier to kill someone in Hardcore..
If only MW2 had Oldcore...
Nobody really played Old School in COD4, so I guess they just dropped the idea in favor of third person.

Higher level Killstreaks are less comon in Hardcore, so if you really dislike KS then Hardcore is the way to go.

I won't call you names, I won't belittle your abilities, I'll just lob a few Grenade launcher shots at you and claymore the doorway, all while smiling and listening to 19-2000 remix.
When I play, I play in happy-go-lucky explosive mode.

Good luck with your 25th Pavelow.
