Modern Warfare 3 Looks Purty

i don't get the fuss over graphics in titles that have a strong MP focus. since in MP most people focus almost exclusively on the mechanics outstanding graphics are only good to attract people who are attracted to shiny things.

also: Why does IW/Sledgehammer hate Germany? not only the horrible signs but also the fact that France and the UK got their Capitols with proper landmarks in the game and Germany gets stuck with Hamburg that looks like a generic port town(mostly because it is just that but still).

really? Well there still is a lot of grey on Grand Bazzar Caspian Border has some nice green to it. Also, while I am a BF3 Fanboy, I admit there is a lot of bright lights.

Might pick it up later, but as a PC gamer it doesn't sound too good for us. Its a good thing that we do have BF3 to keep us company though, even though some BF veterans see BF3 as a curse (Im talking gameplay wise, I don't believe origin is spyware as is popular here)... I don't hate it though...

But an obligitory comment about a game that I havent played yet, nor may if he can't be bothered: I still think the CoD series is stagnating. I think that its sale records may peak this year to be honest. And I know us PC gamers are a niche and all (even though like it or not, with many indie projects and developers starting on PC due to easier development we are still of big importance to the gaming industry) but it would at least be nice if you could trust us sometimes guys... C'mon! No dedicated servers because you are worried about Cheaters hacking the Elite system? You've basically cut us out already, why not just give us Dedicated Servers and a few small features in older CoD games that we love and then fuck Elite altogther?

Campaign/Ending made me satisfied with the ModernWarfare series. Though unfortuntely it only took the 5-6 hours to get through the singleplayer. Now I'm onto the Multiplayer aspect. Also...IT SUCKED waiting in line for 30min at EBgames just to get to the front counter. Good thing they had the shelves STUFFED full of copies XD

meh, after seeing games like BF3 and arkham city, im not saying it looks good over some lighting tricks most games had down pat 2 years ago. the colors are still fairly washed out and dull, but the extra shine and bloom is there to juxtapoz to it so it LOOKS shinier.

Skyrim on the other hand looks great, and im not even a fan, nor am i planning on getting it.

For everyone saying "HERP DERP ITS THE SAME GAME", think on what you're saying. What is the discernible difference between Super Mario Bros. 1 and SMB 3? You would say, "more characters, improved gameplay elements,and a new campaign based on the same nostalgic engine", and that's completely okay. You're just saying it's the same game with some positive improvements (with new levels of course), and nothing's wrong with that. However, when you describe the difference between MW2 and MW3, you say that "it's the same game with some new maps and a different story, and is a complete waste of money". That's the thing, though, you can't blame a game for looking similar to a game that was made 2 years before it. Hell, if you put Killzone 2 and 3 screenshots in front of me, I couldn't tell the difference at all. What I'm trying to get to is that you should be paying for what you have fun with. If strategic movements and large vehicle battles is your thing, there is no reason to not enjoy BF3. I just choose to buy what I personally prefer, which is the run-and-gunning that made it possible, with some added improvements and a action movie-esque story.

your comparing 20 year old technology to the standards of today......not flying.
gameplay wise it's still the same, characterization wise? the same. Story wise? the same.

we don't mind the same engine or look or feel, but damn, supply a decent story and gameplay to begin with and people wont ***** about it.

I don't like the UI. Seems like a step back towards CoD 4, but not the good parts. I remember being honestly pleased with MW2 because of how smooth and pretty the UI was, and now it's going back to that extremely bland, simple, out-of-the-way subtlety... which CoD has ironically dissociated itself from in recent years.
