Is there a way to make it like Oblivion so that when you use a melee weapon you hit the enemy each time and its not left to chance?

the whole point of rpg's is to hone a certain skill set to ddefine your class and how you play the game. morrowing does it well by offering training, where you can spend all your money and wreck house on rats

But that would ruin it!
How would making skill the most important aspect ruin a game?
Skill? You mean block attack block attack block attack.

There's more skill in working out stats and perfecting your character than in repetitive combat.

there are some mods that make the combat worse, yes, but I can't remember any off the top of my head. the trouble with using the dexterity cheat is that it might affect things other than combat (but it's been a while since I played Morrowind)

try searching planet elder scrolls [http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.List&game=3] for some mods, some of them are to do with combat.

really, though, just learn the way Morrowind works and learn to love it. it's much more of a traditional RPG than Oblivion is (which is more of an action game with RPG elements)

There's a mod called Morrowind Enhanced, it offers features like being able to write books ingame or update your journal yourself. But it was originally designed to change combat.

I tried it myself, didn't really like it though, but what I remember is that attacking and blocking were controlled by you. So when you block, you block. And I'm pretty sure that when you attack you hit your target. There was also stuff like combo's, a slow-motion-rage kind of thing and body part dismemberment.

I heard that the guy who made the mod was later hired by Bethesda themselves and he worked on Oblivion's combat system.

But of course the easy and most simple way would be to raise all your weapon related skills to maximum as well as your agility attribute. With that you're guaranteed to hit every time. You can do that with the cheatconsole and it takes about 2 seconds.

Cheating ruins the experience, since you don't worry about having to progress normally. I made a mod for a friend's version and installed it with another mod that if he cheats he dies. Just told him it's all part of the risk of cheating, since it's random... For some reason... I kinda meant to make it instant, but whatever.
