TES IV: Oblivion and Bioshock for the same reason, I loved exploring the world and just living within the atmospheric and immersive levels.

uhm, for me the most addictive is probably heroes of might and magic 3, closely followed by games like civilization, total war and hearts of iron. online i only play games that are online by nature (mmorpgs) and the rest im only itnrestedi n singleplayer (thus very dissapointed whne you spend 20 euros on a 4 hour game with 0 replayability *cough* red faction 2 *cough*
