Personally, I enjoy getting into a sniper/boomshot battle as either opponent. The boomshot is actually pinpoint accurate, making it well suited for long-distance arcing shots - perfect against snipers. As a sniper of course, you just have to be faster than the other guy.

the Laser Pistol from fallout 3, its weak and it takes bloody ages to reload, god help you if its in bad condition when you reload it, otherwise youll either be dead or have grown a full beard by the time its done.

In Team Fortress 2 they blow my cover, the one in Gears 2 is overpowered and in Far Cry 2 I always burn myself.

I know how you feel, i first used it thinking the weak bullshit Raider would get blasted into and infinite number of peices but instead it didnt even cripple a limb, second time i used it it missed completely at 17 feet, THIRD time i used it without V.A.T.S and the enemy had enough time to get married, have kids, grow old and stand there with them laughing at me before the missle even got close.

The pistol in the first Halo. One of my friends uses it as practically his only weapon, and seems to be nigh-unstoppable with it. And while I'm at it, the sniper rifle. In pretty much any game.

funny enough it's the only weapon i can beat legendary mode with back in the halo 1 day .. no other wep worked well on that mode

also sniper rifles are extremely well balanced weapons (i'm not a sniper btw)

my choice for most annoying weapon would be the rocket launchers from the PS2's Turok

Rocket Launcher in any multiplayer, maybe it's just me bitching but I hate those weapons because they take no skill to use, do enormous splash damage so you don't even have to aim and they create the scenario in which a player with said weapon runs into a group of 20 enemies doesn't care if he dies (which he does in 15 seconds) fires one round kills about 10 and respawns to begin anew.... dam I hate it....

You have to hit pretty much spot on with the rocket launcher, or bazooka, in Battlefield 1943 to get a kill with it, if your target has full health.

Haven't played that game yet, I was talking about my most recent experience which was Killzone 2. Also on Halo when I played it on the PC and some other shooters like Resistance and Resistance 2 although in these it's pretty close to your Battlefield description.

I'd say grenades in any FPS or TPS
That is the one thing i hate about gaming, because in cod4, when i play search and destroy, practically every round some noob spams a grenade and it just happens to hit me, and it blows up before it hits the ground, so i don't get a warning either, and then i get to sit there like an idiot watching my friends get 50 xp a kill

Rocket Launcher in HL2, you can tell the rocket exactly where to go, but it just doesn't go there.

I pointed it straight at a Hunter in Episode 2, that Hunter must be a heavy bastard because the rocket went into orbit around him.
