I'm going to go with a banana, because I'm hungry and a banana would hit the spot right about now.
Tee hee! There are about a million different ways my filthy mind finds that amusing.

maybe i can beat it with this.

this is a set of images taken from the Mandelbrot set, a pattern of generated numbers that continuous on forever, repeating it's self infinitely.
Nice, I think I prefer this one though.

I'd put it in my post but the size is rather unfriendly to the forum.

zn+1 = zn2 + c

it all comes from that. such a wonderful equation that it can turn out such complexity.

amazing. and to think... there are scientists who believe in intelligent design solely on the basis that they can't figure out where all the information in our DNA comes from. man they must not be mathematicians. simplicity creates complexity.

simplicity creates complexity is i believe one of the founding principles of chaos theory.

The tiger is iconic
spoilers please!!! and iconic does not imply beautiful... the tiger looks like shit.
I for one think it's beautiful from an engineer's perspective, although I was always fond of the IXC/40 U-Boats.

Prepare to be amazed.

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field Image. It was taken by looking at one thirteen millionth (1/13,000,000) of the night sky. From our view on earth, this section of the sky would appear to be 1/10th the size of our moon. To the naked eye, there was nothing in this area, but the Hubble space telescope saw something entirely different.

Nearly every object in this image is a galaxy. The most distant objects ever photographed, reaching up to 13 billion light-years (122,989,496,143,550,400,000,000 Kilometers or 76,422,129,822,197,315,160,076.8 Miles) away from Earth.

The universe is an amazing place, all the way from the most gigantic and furthest objects, to the tiniest building blocks that make up the cosmos.

Okay, I get it. Non-sexual pictures. Alright, I can do that too.

And that's just submarines. Russian submarines. Don't get me started on any other ships. I could spend days posting pictures.

People always talk about beauty in people, but what is the most beautiful object that you have seen? That just made you look at it longer than you should, or even possibly turned you on (if you're into that sort of thing)? Since I'm a guitar lover, I have to say this magnificent beauty:
NICE. Pure win, awesome, awesome, awesome.
