The Hubble Ultra Deep Field Image. It was taken by looking at one thirteen millionth (1/13,000,000) of the night sky. From our view on earth, this section of the sky would appear to be 1/10th the size of our moon. To the naked eye, there was nothing in this area, but the Hubble space telescope saw something entirely different.
Nearly every object in this image is a galaxy. The most distant objects ever photographed, reaching up to 13 billion light-years (122,989,496,143,550,400,000,000 Kilometers or 76,422,129,822,197,315,160,076.8 Miles) away from Earth.
The universe is an amazing place, all the way from the most gigantic and furthest objects, to the tiniest building blocks that make up the cosmos.
