This. I was more sad to see him die not only because he was a better guy than A. Carmine but he was also a damn good Sniper.Hoppetussa said:Carmine from Gears 2 was actually helpful in the campaign.

First off in campain as Yahtzee already mentioned the friendly AI has a frustrating habit to leave you to die. And in multiplayer death matches when you are the only human player and the rest are bots (don't have live at the moment) there is nothing worse than dying and having to watch your AI team struggle to fight while unable to even figure out where the enemy are.
What is the dumbest AI you ever encountered and how did it effect you as a gamer?
Plase forgive the lateness of this reply but if I may.
A. In Gears 2 I was revived in single player a fair bit, just not consistently enough.
B. Are you actually suggesting that the design team would make it so that when you take enough damage you don't just die but lie around on the ground pathetically dragging your sorry bleeding arse around for fifteen seconds before finally dying? You really think any designer would INTENTIONALLY do that?
If they did that on purpose they deserve to have their nipples fried on a ten thousand vault electric fence.
But anyway, I think your thinking of Gears of War 1, because in 2 whever I got shot down I would be lyin around on the ground and eventually an AI character would come and revive or... not as is more common an occurance.

You too?SmilingKitsune said:Friendly ai seems to be very tough to pull off, Gears 2's friendlys are pretty moronic but I think Halo 3's marines take the cake, they've run me over on several occasions and trying to operate the turret of a warthog while they drive is a one way ticket to an early grave.
