Either New Vegas or Fallout 3. I loved the games, but my God are there a lot of bugs in those games. Some of them are hilarious, such as the time the sky literally fell on me in Fallout 3, but still. I crave stability!

whats the most broken game you've still enjoyed to play?

For me it was Duke Nukem Forever, i know i really shouldn't have but i couldn't help craking a small smile at just how bad it was, it was beautiful :')
I enjoyed duke a lot as well, more than i probably should have X)

OT: Tenchu Z: The gadgets did not even work, but playing as a ninja was still fun.

EDF 2017: So many bugs and glitches. Most of the vehicles didnt even drive correctly. Yet it was STILL fun as hell XD

Deadly Premontion, I swear if there was no lock on in that game you would never be able to hit anything. Then there's a super speedy boss that you can't lock on to... The game then crashed straight after beating said boss and I haven't touched the damn thing since!

I still love the thing, the logic behind York's investigation is so horribly broken it's hilarious XD

And there is nothing quite like having a super srs morgue scene then the super happy jazz tune suddenly starts up...

Also UMVC3... No i'm not talking about Wesker! (mostly) My UMVC3 disk has a massive crack down the middle and randomly shuts down during games. I still love the game enough to force my way through the "unrecognised disk" error message my 360 keeps shoving in my face...

If by broken you mean horribly unbalanced, then Just Cause 2. Incredibly fun game, but like Yahtzee said, it's like playing with all the cheat codes on.
What grated on me about Just Cause 2 were the bad story lines, painful voice acting and douchey, unentertaining protagonist.

I ignored the missions and just used it as a "let's fuck around and go crazy" game.

Mmmh, beside Bethesda games (TES and Fallout), I would say Vampire Masquerade : Bloodline. Even with the patch (fan made, iirc), I experienced strange bugs that made the game almost unplayable. Still love the whole atmosphere and the storyline.
recently replayed bloodlines with fan patches and it ran flawlessly, one of my top 10 fav games, but yea, at launch it was so buggy it was unplayable, but thats because the company was dying so i can excuse it. there's still so much love for this game even after all these years, I'm surprised EA hasn't bought the rights for the series and ruined it already.

I still enjoyed the new Destroy All Humans, even though it was incredibly glitchy.

I love Morrowind. SO MUCH. It just seems to stay enjoyable, somehow, it's impressive.

starfox advenures.horrible, crappy, broken, non stafox, zelda clone that it is .it is amazing what you can enjoy when you are a stupid kid who has about 3 games on his gamecube.i haven't beaten it though.got stuck on this weird railshooter ,on top of a magical flying dinosaur bit on the fourth planet chunk and never felt the compulsion to play it again.

the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series... playing call of Pripyat ATM, when I was halfway through Shadow of Chernobyl I discovered the "complete" fan patches, so installed them & restarted after a glitch stopped me progressing the story.
VERY nice patches indeed(they add visual/roleplay improvements as well as fixing glitches while preserving the core gameplay & aesthetic)
Unplayable without the patches, unfortunately

Ya, the COMPLETE mods are a must have for STALKER series - as someone once called them "Vanilla 2.0"

For me, I guess RAGE - day 1 buy and it had the horrible texture issues where you would see the low rez textures for several seconds before they would correct themselves - played the whole game before ID ever got around to releasing a patch

This is an actual gameplay video I took:

Arcanum is good but broken.
Arcanum most of all did alot of things right. If the combat had been good, it would have been the ultimate CRPG, possibly forever.
Yeah, at the beginning of the game you had to save every 5 seconds in case you were ambushed by a pack of wolfs. By the end of the game you could stroll invincibly about anywhere because nothing could touch you. And that's not even taking into account the insta-kill everything spell.

I'll assume from the answers that mine'd be Morrowind, but I haven't played it without it being modded beyond recognition much so I throw most of the blame for my problems with it on those.
So excluding Morrowind, I'll go with Skyrim. When quests bug so I can't complete them multiple times in a single playthrough, which has happened to me on many playthroughs, you know the game is fucked. Plus that damn bug that makes Karliah disappear if you don't finish the Thieves' Guild side-sidequests before that one quest in the main Thieves' Guild questline is just depressing.
But I still loved it, of course.

I think Just Cause 2 is better for it due to the far larger map, more guns, and all the vehicles.

Well bobajob beat me to it, but definitely the Stalker series. I really enjoyed playing the original even without patches. Not that I ever got more than a couple hours into it without it breaking and becoming unplayable (literally, just straight up wouldn't load). I'll have to go back and try it with all the fan patches up and running.

Now where did I put that instal disc...?
