I am constantly astounded by the things women can be upset at me for, I will go ahead and start us off. Currently my girlfriend is upset at me for not knowing that they have scrabble in the Philippines.

Apparently my lack of knowledge about board game localization is appalling.

What about you other escapists? I am hoping for some good laughs out of this thread.

My then-girlfriend once broke wind audibly when I was in the same room. I said "Ewww!" and she got upset. I politely insisted that I had to be allowed to dislike flatulence.

My ex fiancee flipped out on me because someone else called my phone. I had nothing to do with it, it was literally a friend I hadn't heard from in almost two years so it's not like I was planning it.

She also made a huge scene in public simply because I saw one of my ex girlfriends walk past us and I mentioned it to her.

One of my exes got mad because I told her I watched porn. It's not like I watch it very often either. It was weird.

This is maybe a little unfair as she had various mental issues, and didn't stay angry at me (specifically, she was pretty angry in general) but this is one that I will always remember:

"I'm making a cup of tea, would you like one as well?"

"You know I don't fucking like tea!" she shouts at me.

Being shouted at for asking if someone would like a cup of tea. Ah, great times.

Lol women are crazy, amirite, bros?

OP: I can't think of much, I never remember fights very well. One of my exes got a bit miffed because I changed my hair colour without saying anything before I did it. I guess that counts.

I got about a 1 hour lecture the other day because I had no clue that "sire" was a verb. I felt kind of stupid, as I only thought it was a formal title that kings and the like were called. I guess she had this perceived intelligence of me and that fucked it up, but she's nuts about etymology so this was expected.

If anyone's curious about how this happened, I had just downloaded Rogue Legacy for the Vita. She wanted to know the various traits of my heroes as I threw their heads against the wall in order to gain enough gold to actually live for 2 minutes (but I can't stop), and I encountered my first gay hero. She said "well if he's gay how did he sire the next one?" and that sentence sounded crazy to me. At least I learned something (I arguably should have known).

Not talking to me for nearly 3 days because I was mean to her in a dream.

Yeah, that was a weird one.

OT: Hahahaha. Looking at all the dumb things in this thread so far I think my one is even dumber.

My ex boyfriend got upset at me for spilling a glass of coke.
How upset, you ask?
Well he screamed at me for like half an hour, then put his shoes on and stormed out of the house and then didn't come back for four hours.
Because I spilt a glass of coke. Which was an `example of everything wrong with our relationship`.

People have already made the "women are irrational" comments, but...I like how the title specifies girlfriend or significant other, not just significant other.

I have a long distance relationship (or a start I think :/) going on and we chat pretty much.
So I said I was going training and she mentioned something about me training a lot, well I jokingly said I won't feel good about myself until I look like Chris Hemsworth/Hugh Jackman. Well the reply I got was that if I am going to be that good looking then she'll have to dump me, because she'll feel bad for not meeting my expectations... I was like o_O
Well I have told her before I train to maintain physical health and so that I'll be able to do my job without getting injured or getting sick due to too high physical demands, repeated this to her. Thank God she calmed down :D

My ex (and thus far only foreveraloneectect) girlfriend had (has) depression, so maybe it's a tad unfair on her given that that disease just does make you go completely irrational over the stupidest shit and you don't get much control over it, but god-damn it got annoying sometimes. Thankfully I managed to avoid most of her anger being directed at me, but I still had to placate her a lot.

The best one though (and again this wasn't at me but I was used to comfort her) was when she got mad at someone for suggesting she liked another dude more than me... or at least that's how she told me it went down, when she was raging at me about it. Turns out, she had actually said it to them, then when they, in the same fucking conversation, turned around and said that it made sense as there were hints, that made her really angry, to the point where she stopped talking to them, came and raged to me about it whilst lying to me the whole time, claiming she had no idea why they'd think that.

Also you could never disagree with her, like once she was playing scrabble with her mum, and her mum made a 7 letter word (which is a good move for those not in the know) and when she told me, saying her mum had "ruined the game", and I suggested that it was more the case of her mum, you know, playing the game like you're meant to play it, this apparently made me the worst villain in the world.

Which is, obviously, a clear sign of sexism against insignificant boyfriends, the only demographic to be once again excluded.

Oh so many good things, my favourite is probably going through a whole day of not talking because the inflection of my "Good morning" was too judgemental... I didn't even find out until the next day because she was so mad.
I can't help but admire the sheer insanity of marriage at times like that.

Oh yay, a chance to demean my significant other and laugh about how unreasonable they are. Well there was this time... wait.

One got angry at me because my mom called her a slut and I just stood there and didn't defend her or come to her rescue... This is after my ex cheated on me, as she wanted to explore and didn't know what she wanted, etc...

Another got angry at me because I panicked, dove out of the car and slammed the door shut, leaving her alone inside a locked car with an angry bee.

Another didn't want to get up and dance, so I went up and danced alone, and when I finished she was arms-folded, grumpy-faced, basically got angry cause I didn't sit with her and left her all alone.

Most, if not all my exes got angry at me at some point in time, for not answering a text message fast enough.
