The Old Orphen Boss in Lineage 2 that kept walking around the entire map, anyone that got seen by that thing was stabbed by it's many arms and killed in 1 shot! And the worst part was that everyone that got killed dropped weapons, armour and other valuables. So glad they changed that in C2.

It would have to be Sephiroth, when he fights you in Kingdom Hearts II.

He does this random thing where the screen lights up or goes black (I forget which one) and then he automatically hits you for, like... A billion damage. So it's essentially a one hit kill. I was the highest level possible and I tried several times before I beat him. I have no idea if there's some strategy or any way to counter it, but in the end, it only takes about 50 potions and 20 hours of preparation for you to win.
Ah, I think I get the attack you mean. Isn't that the one which he always starts off with? If it is, I'm sure there's a Reaction Command for it, but only when you're on the ground, and that's the only way of blocking it completely.

Still, he was a really fun boss, and had some kick-ass attacks. Heartless Angel springs to mind, as does his Meteora attack from the first Kingdom Hearts.

More Kingdom Hearts boss fun!

Demyx: His timed water form attack is a *****, especially in the data battles for Final Mix+, where you only have 30 seconds, and he can summon any number of forms.

Riku: In Kingdom Hearts, under the control of Ansem. His little attack, heralded by "I'll show you the true power of darkness!" or something, where he flies around the screen, teleporting and stabbing.

Enigmatic Soldier: Just. Painful. No single boss has ever made me work so hard to defeat him. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but he is pretty damn difficult.

Almost all of Xaldin;s attacks from KH2. That guy was the biggest pain in the ass of any boss I've ever faced. After him, Sephiroth wasn;t frustrating at all!

Did any body else find that using Reflect lvl 3 when Sephiroth did that multi cut in KH II would let him do all the slashes, but give him ALL the damage? >83

Anyways,

I go with The Creator in Final Fantasy Legends 2.

T.T

His attacks did SO much damage. I don't think I ever actually beat him, despite hurling glass swords at him repeatedly, having my mutant use his untill then what I THOUGHT to be an insta death Flame attack, and having my healers work their magic into oblivion.

I remember in Guild Wars: Factions, the dude Shiro takes quite a while to take down. He has some move that steals your life every time he hits you or something, and he uses it over and over if his health gets low. I was pretty frustrated the first time I had to fight him.
I can solo that boss on hard mode XD.

Emerald Weapon's Dam Air Tam move from FF7. That move could kill your entire team with a single hit. Took me ages to work out that the attacks power was limked to the number of equipped Materia on the character.

When he jumps (or does he fly?) into the air, jump and attack him. There attack countered.

He is very easy if you know his moves and you can level up to lvl 99 if you want just by killing him over and over again.

Final Fantasy syndrome: Ridiculously unfair bosses that get tougher the more you hurt them. Let me rephrase that, the bastards hit harder the closer they are to dying. WTF

"Djinn storm" in Golden sun the lost age comes to mind, pure off button frustration.
This, thinks of Dullahan using it followed by Charon which 99% of the time will kill you instantly or just damages you to death.
Tabitha's CO Power in Advance Wars Days of Ruin, hits your army where it will do the most monetary damage, which is your army pretty much, for 80% dmg, and all of her units are super powerful during the turn that Firestorm is unleashed, and its not even that hard for her to charge either.
In Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Sephy's Descend Heartless Angel knocks you to one health and no MP.
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Dark Dragon's last whim attack. Once he falls to the ground to be finished off, if you get close and don't dodge, he will grab you with his teeth and hit you with his laser death beam while you are in his mouth until you die.
Titan Dweevil from Pikmin 2, pretty much any of his attacks, especially the water faucet.

The tank form L4D on No mercy roof top, if he hits you outside the little room then you just get smacked off the roof
