As much I'm trying to think about it, not a lot of bosses comes to my mind. I also didn't played a lot of "cult" games, i.e. never played Final Fantasy 7. The first boss I can think about is the final fight with

Seriously. That was one of the most over dramatic fights ever and I loved every second of it.

I haven't played kingdom hearts 2 in a while but i remember all the boss battles being easy even on expert. Kingdom hearts 1 had the battle with sephiroth which was epic.

But then, I haven't played many games that have a final boss.

My favorite was probably the extra boss in Dragon quest 8.

JRPG's in general have final bosses that aren't neccesarily hard they just don't die. I mean five forms is a sickening amount of times that i jump up in celebration only to have to sit back down and wish i hadn't just used all my (mana, magic, or redbull powered attacks).

Nah, really, for me it was the final assault on Zaarin's traitor fleet in Tie Fighter. One missile boat with minimal backup, versus an entire fucking battle group.

I will take the FPS whore in me for a brisk walk and say that the knife to the eye in MW2 was an Oh Shit moment for the ages.

Along side it would have to be the Final Boss in Wind Waker. He gets a sword through his forehead! I mean C'MON!

That was a really dramatic fight. I still prefer sephiroth for a challenge, but that was nowhere near as dramatic as the last boss.
